Sleepwalkers

Post by Juicy J »

Last night I watched this show on TV, that was studying to see if sleepwalkers could really kill someone in their sleep and have no idea they even did it, till morning break..

What you guys think about that shit?

They showed one guy who put on his shoes, tied them, drove 14 miles, killed his Mother-in-Law, Fought off his Father-in-Law, and almost killed him also, and then returned to his house and went back to sleep..

His sentence in court?

Not Guilty

I was kinda iffy about that one, but they had this lady on camera for 6 weeks, she would get up about everynight talking and shit, walk down the steps, turn on the stove, boil shit, get in the fridge, cook different kinds of food, eat the food and then walk back upstairs and go back to sleep and she had no idea she was even doing it..

Any one knows any one who sleep walks, and ever seen it? I would like to hear some more stories...

I think someone could kill someone in their sleep and not know it, but a trial would be hard.

Stories? I got home once and didn't feel like finding my key so I rang the doorbell until my brother came down and answered (I had forgotten he got in late the night before) so he just kinda looked at me and went back to his room. About an hour or so later he came down and asked when I had gotten back home, he didn't know he had opened the door for me. He talks in his sleep a lot too, like full on conversations with people and you'll think he's awake.

My boyfriend has punched the wall in his sleep a few times while staying here. He doesn't remember doing it, just that while dreaming someone really pissed him off.

Another time he was staying here was just weird. I had been asleep then all of a sudden I wake up as he shoots up straight up in bed scaring the shit out of me and I'm like "what?!" he's looking around saying "where's the man with the knife" so I keep asking him what is he talking about and such when he finally calms down and starts to lay back down. I ask again if he's ok and he's tells me 'yea, just shut up and eat your cookies'.
He doesn't remember a thing. :dunno:

I've been known to talk in my sleep but no real sleepwalking. Unless you count me falling asleep in class and still taking the notes. I'll keep nodding off and all of a sudden kinda snap back and not remember what I was writing, its intersting trying to read it too.

interesting topic

i know this one guy who says when he lived with his family, his brother would never be able to remember the first hour or so of being awake and when someone mentioned something that took place in the morning he would have no clue.

ive never seen any advanced sleepwalkers but back in the day my brother would always fall asleep watching tv and when i would try waking him up he would reply with irrelevant comments, i guess relating to his dreams. it was like he was really drunk and about to pass out. kind of amusing though.

one time i had an experience similar to your BF, sitting up in bed and then going back down...at least thats what my brother told me the next morning.

this example is kind of irrelevant to the topic... but one time i was getting stabbed in my dream so i forced myself awake and for about 3 or 4 seconds i could feel the stabs slowly fading away. it was pretty fucked up.

I used to sleepwalk. I've found myself sleeping in our bathub fully dressed, on the basement stairs, and once I woke up at the kitchen table, with my one arm in my coat, one out, and a fork in my hand.

I don't even remember what my dreams could have been about to possess me to do that, but it hasn't happened so much since I went to therapy, and there is a correlation between stress, mental illness, and sleepwalking.

Ex: the man who killed his mom probably didn't get along with her to begin with, or she pissed him off. When you're sleeping, your inhibitions become nill. When you're walking and sleeping, you still have no inhibitions.

The point is, yes, it is possible to kill someone in your sleep, but extremely rare. It is not a defense that people will buy readily, and so if he was found innocent then I'm sure they had some pretty convincing evidence.

When i was a kid i use to sleep walk ahell of a lot.

Ive woken up in the bathroom, kitchen, lounge on various floors my friends sisters bed when i was at his house . She just let me in.. lol

Erm my mum filmed me having nightmares before its insane ahaha..
Quite afew times ive been woken up by people and ive been downstairs sleeping walking in kinda a nightmare state like thinking the walls are attacking me or someshit. Oh and ive always been found trying to climb out of a window...

I don't sleep walk as much anymore just on occasion but when i was younger it was a few times a week if not everynight.

i halucinated after 48 hours without sleep, my mum came in my room to wake me up and i thought my mates wer in a circle on the floor smoking a bucket bong, and i just said something like "you fuckers stop making mess, dont worry mum we wont spill it" After sleepily saying that to my mum i looked to see what my mates were doing and nobody was there. My mum says i was just sleep talkign but im sure i was awake.

Haha! Sleep deprivation as a hallucinogen?

lol, buy some weed, it's cheaper.

In all seriousness, my housemates have been mentioning trippy noises at night and I haven't heard shit. Maybe I sleepwalk and dick around upstairs with the DVD's and shit and don't remember it?
