I FEEL BAD!!!

BUT SHOULD I???
So me and my mom were at CVS and we were in line to buy stuff. Suddenly, my mom says, "GINO! PICK IT UP, PICK IT UP."
I didn't know what she was talking about until I looked behind me and saw a crumpled up bill on the floor, had a quick glimpse of it and it was a hundred dollar bill. I put it in my pocket and the girl's still ringing us up, she gave me a dirty look. (HEY, MOM MOM MADE ME DO IT.) Then she told us, "Maybe one of them dropped it?" And she pointed to some teens also shopping, so I gave it to another employee who wasn't ringing us up and she asked them if they dropped some money, and one of the guys were like, "Yeah, I did, etc." And she was like, "How much?" And the guys didn't know... so the employee that was ringing it up was like, "Give it to that guy, then..."
And now I have it.
My mom says that she thinks she saw the guy who dropped it, and that while we were driving away, he was walking into the store. We also paid with a check, they have our address. And we paid with the CVS Care Card thing, they have our phone number. So if the guy came back and CVS gets in contact with us, can't I be like, "WELLL THE EMPLOYEE GAVE IT TO ME. I DID THE RIGHT THING AND TURNED IT IN, LUZARS."
But I feel bad and I told my mom that I'm going to hell for it. So she was like, "Well give it to me," but really, they gave it to mee, ya know? And giving it to my mom won't make meee feel better because, well, the girl gave ME the dirty look. And that just made me feel sooo bad. OMG, I'm a thief! You know those employment test questions like, "If you found money that wasn't yours, would you take it?" I can't honestly answer that question now. FARCK.
And I feel bad. But it was given to me in the end, right?
*Reminder: MY MOM TOLD ME TO PICK UP THE MONEY.
