So I'm at this totally boring birthday party for a friend of mine, so me and one of my old classmates, who is also one of my best friends, decide to go heavy drinking to start the party. We get a bit drunk, he says he wants to go smoke a joint outside, so we go. I start rolling, and then he says "After the spliff, I need to tell you something." I ask why he can't say it now. He says he definetly wants to wait until he's high so he won't be nervous when he tells. So I'm dead curious, we smoke the joint and I ask him what he wanted to say.

He asks me if I remember him talking about his new girlfriend. Turns out it's not really a girlfriend, but a boyfriend, and he proceeds with telling me he's bisexual. I'm like "Yeah, and? I don't care if you have a fetish for 500 pound women with hair on their ass." He says he knows, and that there is something else he needs to tell me. Turns out he has a slight crush on yours truly, which blew me right out of my sneakers. I ask him how long he knows this, he says he got it a few months ago when we both got piss drunk and danced a slowdance on top of a table at the local pub.

After that, he was all like "If you don't wanna hang out with me anymore, I understand. I should have told you right away, not wait until 3 months later."

So I was confused as fuck, on one hand I was totally shocked that there was a guy, one of my best friends, who has a crush on me. On the other hand, this guy has been my friend for years, and I don't want to "lose" him over something like this. I told him that there was no way something like that could ever happen, he says "Yeah I know, but I can't help it, and when I see you I think about more than getting shitfaced and having fun." He left after that and won't answer his phone.

This is fucked up  I'm completely off my rocker right now, I don't even know if I should tell my girlfriend.

I'd take it as a compliment if it was just some random guy, but this is one of my closest friends, and I never even had a clue about it.

That is a bit awkward. I tried to think of if one of my girl friends came out and said that to me. My opinion of them wouldn't change though. I think your friend would need to know that (if thats how you feel). Because he may think you think bad of him now or something like that.
Just let him know you don't swing that way but you enjoy being his friend and want to keep it that way. The awkwardness will eventually go away.

I wouldn't tell your girlfriend yet, just to respect your friend in the fact he may not be that open about being bisexual and wouldn't want her knowing.

Why not let your gf know, as long as you don't like him back in that kind of a way it should be ok to let her know.

This is the year 2005 we are living in not 1975

I guess a couple of us are getting deja vu. Good friend of mine came out about a year ago.... his parents went ape shit on him, tho. Now he can't sleep over at guy's houses at all cuz his parents think he's gonna like rape us. He's still definitely a cool guy even though he wants my cock. Meh.

I never met a gay person. I have no idea how I would handle it, it's just too wierd I think.
