Ok here's the deal. I'm going to be a sophmore but freshman year, I was into this one girl on and off, and I'm pretty sure she liked me from time to time, but I never really got to the point where I felt like asking her out. Maybe once or twice I felt like asking her, but then that day I'd argue with her over something stupid. Yes, I know, never argue with a girl cuz you won't win, but sometimes what they're saying is so irrational that I can't resist.

Anyway, now there's 3 weeks until school starts, and she has decided to go back to her local high school so I am not going to see her anymore most likely. (My parents pushed me into going to a "magnet" school, which really means a vocational school converted for smart kids, but I'm a slacker, so moments when I am "smart", I'm really just finding a subject easy) I'm thinking the window is closing so I might as well just ask her out but there are a couple things standing in my way. She lives about 30-40 minutes away from me by car and around an hour by train. I have trouble getting my parents to drive me to and from places 10 minutes away so I doubt they're willing to drive me to meet her and I've always thought that the less your parents are involved in a relationship the better. She's not too fond of the train either although I take it all the time. So I'm not sure if I should ask her out as I really don't want to get into a relationship that has a chance of falling apart rather quickly because of such a lame thing as how far away she lives. I'm willing to put the effort in, but I'm not sure if she is.

What do you guys and gals think?

I'd go with that.

I went to eindhoven a couple of days ago and on the way back i met this realy nice, good looking girl and we started talking, turned out she had to go the same way as me but transfer to another train at my final destination.

So when we got off our train we said goodbye and i headed to the track i needed to be for my departure, turned out she had to wait for another train at the same track. My train was coming in about 5 minutes so I just asked her for her cellphonenumber and emailadress, and I did not regret it for a second :) we're meeting up at pukkelpop

So, take up all your nerve and ask her out! It's not like you've got anything to lose (well, besides having this feeling of 'what if...")

Block the "what if's" out. Just do it man. She'll respect you more for it.

Yeah dude, she'll appreciate that you're going out on a limb for her with the risk of inconveniencing and possibly hurting yourself.

I'll let you know what happens. Normally, I would've asked her out in a second like the first time I even thought I liked her, because I'd consider myself outgoing and just in it to have some fun, but something held me up when it comes to her, not really sure what it was. Doesn't matter now anyway.

8) You'll never know if you dont try. I didnt know about my old man and was really scared cause of past relationships, but 18 years later we are still together and very happy to be so.
Take the chance! 8)
