Went to Egypt about 3 years ago and saw the pyramids. I must say that pictures really dont do them any justice. When you really see the scale of them and really think about all the labor and hours that went into building them, its truly an unique experieince. I really want to see the hanging gardens, but thats another trip.

As did I, that's why the only pictures of it that you see are drawings?

I've been to Victoria falls in africa, the worlds largest waterfall (yes, its bigger than niagara falls, and i've been there too), and i've been to the grand canyon, which is amazing.

I've been to Niagara Falls several times. It's pretty wicked..I just love Southern Ontario. I travel there often and am familiar with the area.

Id definately like to go to the grand canyon. Egypt i'd like to see but thats not my main aim. I can only imagine how nice the hanging gardens would of been. Even just to see the ruins would still be cool. Someone should re-create the somewhere I reckon. Wouldnt be the same but it'd give you an idea of what it was like.

This goes to show you that these people had twice the brains that we have. In order to construct such marvels from over thousands of years ago.
It was said that the egyptians, Myas, and the Aztecs were among the smartest groups of people in all history. Look at it the Egyptians constructed magnificent pyramids, shrines, temples and they had a governing system comparable to none other at there time. The Aztecs actually constructed hundreds upon hundreds miles of actual roadway and had an irrigation and plumbing system. No I say you give these people a chance in todays world with the technololgy we have and tere are your geniuses.

I'd love to see the taj mahal. Is it really as impressive as it looks? (minus the tourists of course)
Is it just me or does anyone else here HATE being a tourist. When I go to another country I prefer to live the life of the people that live their instead of doing all the tourist crap.

Oh I totally agree man. We get tons of tourists here, cuz of Anne of Green Gables, and our red clay, and the beaches, etc. It's mostly
a) people from other parts of Canada who have severe road rage
b) japanese students here to see Anne of Green Gables (least annoying)
c) rich, old, bitchy people from the states (most annoying)
Last week I went camping out in the country with some people, we were driving home in the morning, traffic going both ways, there's two cars coming about 200 feet away, some jackass tries to pass the guy infront of him, we have to swerve way onto the shoulder of the road, fucking jackass.
Then a bit down the road we see these knobs pulled over, taking a picture with one of those fascinating barns behind them. Wow, the memories...
and today I see these old people getting their picture taken infront of a restaurant? Wow, easily amused.
TOURISTS ARE KNOBS
[edit] oh whoops I misread your post. I don't mind being a tourist but I'm sick of them being here, it's our main industry in this little province.

^ Shwoot I remember my Dad saying that the drivers in PEI were really polite, unlike anywhere else in Canada.
