What would you do?

What would you do if someone gave you a surprisingly large amount of cash and asked you to hold on to it for an indefinite amount of time? This isnt a couple of grand im talking about..this is a LOT of fucking money and its all in cash...(its enough for me to buy a ticket and come to the UK for the weedguru meetup and buy all you guys a kilo of weed at least...besides other things...)

where its come from: my dealer who's been getting serious heat not just from the cops, but also from the income tax ppl cos he has two cars, a big ass house on rent in a posh area, and is a frequent flier member on a couple of local airlines...he doest keep his money in a bank cos he doesnt have a regular job and he thinks the banks will get suspicious if they have large amounts of money coming in and going out at irregular intervals with no clear source...
so he put a lot of the money in a suitcase and left it wth me and pushed off to the hills day before yesterday..iv known him for quite a while now...plus since i work with the press, the cops wont really bother harassing me...

im getting seriously tempted each time i look at that suitcase in my house...

do you think i should charge a small "fee" for keeping the money in the house?

hmmm....i would put a proposition to this guy before i took a cut of the action haha. i'm sure he would give you a commision for taking the risk with it. if not hes a tight ass bitch

well i did ask him half jokingly...i said im going to charge him 2 grand a day to keep it here...but we were both stoned and laughing so i dnt think he thought much about it...
iv been helping myself to it for everyday stuff like ordering pizza and beer since Sunday morning...i hope i dont get too carried away and go buy a car or something...probably get busted if i do..

I wouldn't do that. He'll probably give you a little when he comes back for it. Don't fuck with other people's money or you'll get in more trouble than you can handle.

i agree you would be opening yourself up to a whole world of shit. people can get very touchy about their money, especially if its that much

If that guy is really rolling in that much cash, then he is no small time dealer. Stealing from him could get you in serious trouble..even killed. Ask for a fee from him, in fact you should have asked even before accepting it. He should do it, no service is free in the world of crime.

I say replace what you took and leave it the hell alone. People don't get money by being stupid; he probably knows exactly how much he left you, and will probably count it at some time. If you show him you're trustworthy, he'll definately make it worth your while, either by giving you cash later or by helping you out when you're low on funds.

I'm gonna second Elizabeth. Replace what you took and don't mess with it, even if you are friends with this guy I wouldn't fuck around. Besides I'm sure when you return it to him he will give you a piece, or mabye he'll get busted and you won't have to worry about returning it

well i know he isnt going to get after my life cos i took a couple of grand for munchies and stuff...ive known a while too.grew up with him and all that...which is why my conscience is telling me not to take more than i need at any one point...the thing is: i havent heard from him since he left on Saturday night...the trip to the hills takes roughly 14 hours...and he said he would call when he got there..

dug into it yesterday too....more pizza!!!!..got bored (and very stoned) at home in the evening yesterday and made a bed out of the money...then got paranoid about cops busting the door down.....
