Should I feel guilty?

I was having major issues with my old video card, so because I'm too lazy to RMA the item, I bought a new card and sold my broken one for 75 bucks tonight.

I feel bad because I'm almost positive it won't work for him. Oh sure, when I had it I could surf the net, watch movies, edit photos, things like that. But everytime I loaded a game, the damn thing would lock up my computer faster than Ellen DeGeneres on some poontang.

However, the card is only 6 months old and still under manufacturers warranty for another 2.5 years. I slipped my receipt in with the card too, just in case he calls me back to say the card doesn't work.

I'll say, "Hmmm, worked fine for me man. It's still under warranty and they'll give you a brand new one."

I gave him a damn good deal though. I bought that card for $175 6 months ago and sold it to him for $75

It felt good getting rid of that "cursed" card. Hell, maybe it didn't like my machine and the card will work for him no problem??

I should feel guilty, but I'm so battered right now that I don't really care! Whoo hoo, 75 bucks in my pocket!! And it's payday on Thursday. I'm getting 600 bones...and I'm invited to this huge ass party where the bar is only open to the VIP's...and that'll be me. I plan on getting so fucking drunk and high that I end up in some sort of hilarious situation.

I know there's this chick from work who is going too. She's hot as hell, petite, has nice ta-ta's, blonde, blue eyed, smokes...maybe even tokes? Anyhow when I get there

Man don't feel guilty, if it has anything to do with computers, you know some other guy would fuck you over in a minute. You didn't even fuck him over that bad, he just has to contact the manufacturers for a new card.

you should feel guilty about selling someone something you know might be faulty. It is wrong.
its like when i bought this tv last year, this guy told me it worked fine. the first night we had it, it wouldnt turn on and off propperly without baning it, then it was gradual decline from there. i get very dishreatened and angry by people who sell shit that might be faulty without stating that fact when they sell it. its unfair and wrong.

thats a terrible way to be. get money any way you can. its sad that life is so bad that people are like that. i can kinda undersstand if surivival is at stake, then conning peole becomes slightly less bad. but unles you life depending on money, all the people who put money before integrity are helping to make this world a nasty place. so much more of that attitude than the opposite which is charity.
its a matter of decency and integrity.

its still under warranty man, i'd give someone 75 bucks for a broken yet under warranty sound card, cos then i'd only pay 75 bucks for a brand new one when they gave it to me.

You should have definetely told him about the issues you were having with it before selling it to him, it's not cool to rip people off. Even if it was a fair deal he should be aware of the histrory of what he is buying

So what happened? Did he try to contact you about the card or did GoreCore get away with murder, haha. If I was you I wouldn't give two shits about it, he bought it the deal is done and you are off with your brand new video card. If he comes back, maybe you should do somethin about it, that's up to you. Until then it's smooth sailin.

DAMNIT!!

I knew I could exchange the card, but it was long past its 30 day exchange warranty through the store I bought it through. So the guy at the computer store said they would return it to the manufactuer and they'd send me the new one...

However, he said this would take at least 6 weeks. My motherboard doesn't have onboard video, so that would have meant 6 weeks without my computer. I spent $130 on my new card and sold my other for $75. So yeah, I lost a few bucks but I'm happy.

The guy never got in touch with me, and he knows where I live because he came to my place to pick up the card. So either it ended up working fine in his PC, or he ended up returning it.

Or perhaps he sold it to someone else for the same price...

Either way, I don't feel guilty anymore. I'm sure he worked things out for himself.
