Ever crashed a car? Drunk? High?

I'm a car-crasher. I stopped counting in 1989 when I wrecked my Karhman Ghia - the second one.
First wreck: 1984 GTI VW, I was drunk drove off a cliff.
Second: 1984 Sciricco VW, I was drunk, drove off road at 130 mph.
Third: 1973 VW Kharman Ghia, slid on snow, got plowed by another guy -my fault. I was sober.

Oh go back, first car was 1984 Datsun, ran red light, got smashed, I was drunk, my fault. Put this above the First wreck.
Fifth wreck: my Audi 5000 quatro. Got hit, sober, not my fault.
Sixth: My Honda Scooter - got hit. sober.
Seventh: My 1969 Kharman Ghia - I dont have a clue - was sober, knocked out, no memory of it.

NEVER when stoned have I got a ticket, anything. Ive wrecked at least a half dozen cars when drunk - got 1 drunken driving arrest.
I need to make something clear. If you dont see the connection - I want to make SURE you do. When I drive high, Im fine. When I used to drive drunk, Id crash. I think there is a DIRECT link between driving drunk and crashing cars/getting tickets, etc. Im NOT proud of my record, Im posting it here in the hopes that someone, at least one of you, will note it and think and NOT drive next time youve had a few beers. It was never worth it. I have broken my collar bone, sternum, femur, wrists twice, nose, had over 100 stitches in my head, and almost died more times than I can imagine. Yes, it was a death wish. Yes, I should have died. Yes I wanted to, but wouldnt kill myself because my dad did when I was a kid and suicide it too horrible for those around you. I was living alone after leaving my grandparents - my grandfather used to beat me all the time and grandma did nothing to stop him. It was a horrible situation and I dealt with it by abusing myself with drugs and booze. I am not a role-model. I hope this helps clear up some of the anger directed my way for posting this to begin with.

How the fuck do you still have a license? I don't know if you are proud of that but driving drunk is stupid and to do is so many times makes me hate you. I know people who have died because of drunk drivers and you deserve to rot in prison.

I crashed a car about a year ago, drove off the into a ditch at about 130 km/h. Needless to say, I was drunk as fuck.

Im NOT proud. Perhaps I should have made it more clear that my reason for posting was that Ive never even been pulled over high, but drinking is totally different and dangerous to the extreme when driving. I have broken tons of bones, needed surgery, 100+ stitches on my forehead, etc for this stupid, dangerous behavior. Sorry if I came across as bragging. I wanted to see if anyone else had driven high no problems, drunk=problems.
As for my license, I got my drunken driving in 1988, over 15 years ago. None of the other wrecks when I was drunk involved anyone - nor did the one arrest.
I may indeed deserve to rot in prison, but I did not kill your friends, or anyone. Had I, I probably would be in prison. Im a walking advert for NOT drinking and driving - I carry a breathalizer with me in my car and blow in it before I drive - if I have half the legal limit I wait around or get a cab. I make my friends blow in it if they are getting in a car.

Drink Driving is not cool kids. Judging by your amount of sober crashes you're already a shitty driver as it is, why chuck drink into the equation? I'm sure being a car crasher will be real cool when you end up killing yourself or someone else. I will admit to a bit of drink-joyriding when i was younger but i wouldn't do it again. It's stupid and it can wreck lives. Think about what you're doing kid.

But if you thin you're a car crasher you should meet my mate. He's written off an estimated 27 cars, and those are just the ones he owned, god knows how many stolen car's he's total. I can totally see how he does it though, I've only had the misfortune of being in his car a couple of times, but he drives like a fucking mentalist. He just get's pissed/coked out the head and rags his car about, going the wrong way down one way systems and round roundabouts, cutting people up, generally showing no respect to anyone else on the road. His list of car casualties include a Toyota MR-2 which he totalled the very same day he bought it and as he drives with no liscence or insurance, he was pretty gutted.

Shit, I drive, No license, No lessons, And never been in a wreck. I feel ima very good driver. So is my pop's, He used to be a street racer and taught me alot. I feel im always in control of the vehicle and i do shit to make it spin out to test myself and im still always in contorl.

And I assume you never in your life ever got behind the wheel of a car when you have had a drink or two? Because thats what it takes to be impared - .08 blood alcohol.
Also, and as I mentioned many times, I posted this as an example of why I think drinking and driving is a bad idea. So, taking your threat to attempt to beat me up "if you ever met me" because I posted about the danger and stupidity of drunk driving, then if I posted saying how cool it is I guess you would want to shake my hand.
Im admitting to something I bet 95% of the people on this board have done before - driving after drinking - and using my history (I dont do it anymore, in case you havent gotten that into your skull) of bad judgement as a personal example of why I hope my post will stop someone who reads it from drinking and driving...

And you want to kick my ass for that.

Do you think before you post? If you want to beat me up for saying "dont drink and drive, look at what happened to me" then I suppose you would cheer me on if I said "Its a good idea to drink and drive" since saying its a bad idea makes you mad.

Why dont you hang outside pubs and kick everyones ass who gets into a car? That seems about right.

are you dense? your entire post is a contradiction. you say you have written off numerous cars from drink driving, yet you advocate that its a bad idea

and driving high? you tit. driving under the influence of any substance is fucking stupid.

and btw i have never got behind the wheel under the influence, ever. i have always taken a cab, hitched a ride with a friend, walked or stayed the night.

so get off your fucking high horse and make some sense. i am tired of getting fired up by threads like this one

I had a mate die in a car because the driver was drunk. NEVER will I ever set foot in the drivers seat of a car while drunk. Nor will I let myself be driven by anyone thats drunk.

EDIT: Gooster, I hope you enjoyED your stay. Maybe this topic wasn't the best decision of your life though.

I may get some people pissed about this, But this is my opinion.

Drinking and driving is very different from driving drunk. I have on many occasions drove with somebody who was drinking earlier or drinking while driving. And never had a single problem. Drive jus as good sober or better. But driving pissed drunk is a whole nother story.

And smoking and driving is nothing.
