I fucking hate adverts. Marketing Executives are the scum of the earth. These people spend months and millions of pounds trying to manipulate people into buying shit they don't need. And as if that wasn't bad enough, they come up with some of the most annoying things ever seen on TV or in life to try and sell it.

Like the McDonalds advert for example. If i ever find the guy responisble i'm going to kick him square in the bollocks. you know which one i mean? That one when he's talking about a castle with that guy with the most irritating voice in history, that sorta Swedish/Scottish/Total Dickhead combo. That shit probably cost them a couple of million and if it's done anything it's made me cringe when i here McDonalds now.

And the KFC advert where they're singing with their mouthfuls, that does my fucking head in too. Was that supposed to be funny or what? (did you know that's either banned or gotta be on after the watershed, i forget which, coz mothers complained it encouraged kids to speak with their mouthful? Fucking over protective mothers, but thats another rant entirely....)

And worst of all Crazy Frog, but there's already a thread on that.

But yeah, who do these people think they're advertising to. Are todays society so fucking braindead that this sort of shit encourages them to buy a product or service? If i'm hungry and McDonalds is the closest place, i'll go in there. I dont need some dickhead witha stupid accent to tell me it's a good idea. I understand that adverts are needed so you know about products you might not of heard of, but why all the stupid fucking gimmicks, who exactly is it they research in order to draw the conclusion shit like this is what we want to see.

Adverts should either be no nonsense, no gimmicks or actually funny, like that Mini advert with the old naked couple who slaps that guy with a fish. Now that was an advert.

I think adverts are genius, well some are anyway. I think its amazing how they manage to get all the info they need to tell you cramped into a 30 second slot. I cant stand watching adverts, i appreciate their importance though.

I hate adverts. I am a big time remote control flicker when I watch TV. But have you ever noticed that the majority of stations all seem to have ads at the same time? That really gets on my nerves. So I usually wind up flicking through all the channels a couple times till the show comes back on. Watching a movie with ads is absolutely THE most annoying thing, worse than just ordinary shows.

Yeah man i noticed that too, you flick around all the channels and everything worth watching is on the adverts. Then you find something, get into it and completely forget what you were watching before you started flicking channels and then end up missing the rest of your program coz your watching something else.

Hahhaha that is so true!!! I do that ALL the time. Damn , it gets me so mad. You know, watching a really good show then you miss the very end and never know what happened. Then the next time the show airs, you have like no clue what is going on and its takes you half the show just to figure out what happened. Then you flick during an Ad and forget to go back....visious circle

Thats me to a tee. Or durin the adverts ill go to my office and start postin and just forget to go watch my program.

The thing that pisses me off more than even the adverts, is just the quality of programing. I flick through the channels and theres fuck all on thats in anyway stimulating or entertaining. Just tons of gardening and DIY programs. Best thing on tends to be the news. Thats why Tv has just about been completely abolished from my life i barely watch an hour a day unless i watch a film.

Now that im doing my exams it means i get to watch day time telivision lucky me.lol. I cant stand it.

Yeah i get that, the best programs are all on at the same time battlng for rating. Fucking idiots can't they just make tv to entertain people and care less about there precious profits!?! Well no i doubt it but it would be good..

We have more gardening shows and home DIY shows at the moment. Oh and dont forget those auction programs, they really get me going

QVC network is the best of daytime tv. its fun to call in and pretend like your interested

Put yourself in the position of the people who make money from the shit. But even better, face up to the fact that we're not, we're the poor sods that have to sit through that shit.

And have you ever noticed that the adverts are always louder than the actual program your watching. They are smart, its because they know that people like me get up to make the tea, so the telly shouts and moans at you ten times louder to come back and watch it.
