whiskey

Post by supasayer »

it's not always about the greenery

Whiskey

you know the scene
the edges are softer
i’m getting proper lean
off the liquid in my glass
i tilt my head right back and i laugh
words tumble out in a manner rather crass
as the lights are dimmed, and
my blood is thinned
with this alcoholic drink
i think
i’m drunk
therefore
i
am

my tongue flicks the last sip
my gaze slips while lids dip
that hard liquor stink
causes eyes to sting
and blink
as i hurriedly cram
for the whiskey holding vessel
nestle it in both hands
follow clumsily laid plans
to squeeze that juice inside me
like outspan
taste buds they do the tan-
go
head getting twisted like the mind of Van
Gogh (that’s the American pronunciation)

inhibitions on vacation
(keeping the American theme)
the ether pulling into the station of my liver
that starts to blow its steam
and i quiver
with the sensation
no degradation in the words
i deliver
though i stutter as i utter
soft leather armchair now becomes butter
but i
start to squint my right eye
as the next drink i drink ice dry
i know it’s bedtime soon
before I start to spin and fly
another pissed up evening
another night passed by

written in collaboration with my good friend Jack D

That was some fucking good word play man. Also, the way you kept the rythm and flow in a switching manner throughout was very good, i thoroughly enjoyed that
Death is the only certainty. EVERYTHING else is variable.
