...oh yeah these things are the shit. Went to my first one last Friday, (Fabric Live). Anyone know fabric? It's a major hardcore D&B and Jungle rave in the center of London.
Anyway I went on Friday, just got completely pissed and danced till 5 in the morn. I was nervous about getting in cos I'm only 15, but I was armed with a fake passport copy. In the end, they didn't actually ask me for ID. Anyway, now I plan to go quite often to these things, since alongside snowboarding and shrooms, it was some of the most intense fun and buzz I think I've ever had.
Anyone else here a D&B head? I've been one for a while, so imagine my delight going to a fat D&B rave! The whole room was vibrating, I mean, I went to a few heavy metal gigs i the past just for fun, like I went to the Black Rebel Motorcycle Club gig and also a Milencolin

gig. But the music at Fabric was way louder. When we came out in the morning for a morning spliff and breakfast at McDonalds, I couldn't hear my mates when they spoke. All I heard was a soft ringing noise!
Sorry for long post, just thought I'd share my experience...

I love DnB but I have yet to go to a rave. I doubt there are any round where I live. (right on the east coast of essex)
Apparently they are great on pills or coke. But none of that shit for me lol.

I like DNB but i've never really cared for the rave scene that goes along with it. Fabric is not too bad, but i don't really like the atmosphere of a dnb rave/club. Far too many wannabe thugs walking around trying to give it the big one, everyone's got an attitude and it get really fucking hostile.
You wanna go to a rave, go to a hardcore rave. The atmosphere is absolutely fucking amazing, everyones there to enjoy the music, have a good time and get pilled off the fucking nut. I've yet to find anything else quite like it, it's the best thing you can do with your clothes on.
If you go to Slammin Vinyl or something where they have both, when you walk from the hardcore room to the DnB room you can literally feel the mood shift. Don't get me wrong, you can go to a DnB rave and still have a great time, but you really can't beat the feeling of a hardcore rave.

I can't handle raves, too many people. There's always those pervy guys trying to massage me and I tell them I don't want to be touched and then they get all sad, which is bullshit because I don't like to be touched. And most of the time they just start touching you and don't even ask if it's okay, Uggg! Last time I went to a rave I was 19 got fucked up on e and puked a ton, had to deal with loads of touchy feely assholes and mostly tried to sit in a corner and chain smoke all night cause that's all I ever wanted to do on e. If I'm going to stay up all night I'd rather be at home working on art, at the old flour mill on the roof looking at the city, or out dumpster diving and stenciling...but that's cool that you had a great night out, hopefully the raves will be kinder to you than they were to me...

I like techno parties (raves, I don't know if those too are called raves). Especially hard techno like Christian Varela, DJ Rush, Carl Cox etc. Basically nobody has an attitude problem, cause the music is too overwhelming.

I get claustrophobic in those places. Too hot and cramped.

there's this place called ELevate here...went on friday and DROPPED MY FIRST ACID....

most fun 6 hours that i can remember ...
Parties at this place start at 11pm and go on till 6 am (when they stop serving booze and start serving black coffee, croissants and other breakfast besides hangover pills, etc....
three floors, three different DJs (psychoski and atomic pulse played the night i was there..not bad..with the resident DJ up on the roof...(they have an open air terrace area which is damn good too...
the whole club is on the 6,7 8th floors of a mall..the only fuck up is the cover charge...

do you mean hardcore as in hardcore house or hardcore what? Because fabric had 3 rooms, one for D&B, one for UK Hip Hop, and one for housey rockey breakbeat shit I didn't really care for.
I decided to wait until my second time at a rave to take E or any shit like that so that I could get used to my surroundings a bit beforehand. Than I could pump up the fun with a pill or something I dunno.

I mean Happy Hardcore. And yeah, taking E will dramatically enhance the experience, but it's not totally neccessary. If you do decide to do it next time, take your own in in rather than buying it of someone in the club, there are some really dodgy people knocking out pills with god knows what. Keep them well hidden though, coz it's sods law that you'll be the one randomly searched if you don't. Be careful though and make sure you drink enough water (but not too much)

One advantage is that you can go round chatting up the loved up girls and still be able to perform when it comes down to it. It is possible to shag on beans but very fucking difficult, you need to make sure you have a boner before she gets it out other wise she'll take one look at your pilly willy and get put right off, and even if she doesnt you'll be so prang you wont be able to get it up anyway.
