i was riding home from kent to brighton on sunday. It had been a wonderful weekend and the ride to hastings had been trouble free and enjoyable due to the surprisingly clear roads and my natural biking ability!
anyway we stopped for a smoke at hastings beach before setting off along the sea road. A car ap[peared behind me and was trying to push past us, but unfortunately there were a row of parke4d cars on the left lane so he had to stay behind me. he beeped his hoen really loudly and for ages when he realized that he was stuck behind me. i turned and looked back and saw a large man shaking his fist in the air. Now on another day. given that i had my lady on the back of the bike, i would have slowed down and maybe tried to let him by, but this wasnt an option as it was a small single lane and there were cars all down the left hand road. I couldnt accelerate beacuse the road islined with speed cameras and i was doing 30-35mph.
we went a little further up the road then the car shot past us onj the wrong side of thr road, and me and my lady waved goodbye!!!
the man in the car (ahead of us now) slammed on his brakes , then started shouting and swearing out the window, i went by him, then he sped up and drove around me ands then slammed the brakes obn his car right in front of my bike. he did this one more time, and i stopped by his car, he started to open the door, and was shouting,
YOU CUNT, YOU FUCKING CUNT. COME ON YOU FUCKING MOUTHY CUNT, YOURE FUCKING DEAD.' he was fat, and he exhibited as much humanity as a great white shark ,who hadnt eaten in a week, in a school swimming pool with a a bunch of 3 year olds. Unsurprisingly, his wife was just as fat and she was sticking her fists up and also shouting something along the lines of
'you fucking cunt, you wanker, you cunt!'
anyway, i felt that this was a good time to leave!I accpeted along time ago that i was far more able on abike than on my feet. anyway as soon as he saw me moving off, he slammed his foot down on the gas and tried to run me over, like seriously accelrated as fast as he could across the road to try and hit me!
that was enuf for me and i went to the other side of the road and just kinda stopped and waved him on!!!
he stopped for afew seconds to keep shouting
'COME ON YOU CUNT, COME ON YOU FUCKING WANKER'
and i stayed at 30, and he shot off. we ran outta petro a few miles up the road, so that was kinda lucky i suppose.
anyway what do you people make of this couple????bearing in mind my record of events above and the fact trhat he seriously tried to hit my bike and me and my lovely lady.
i am pretty sure that if i had been on a weaker machine or of lessthen he would have hit us.
i would be very interested to read your opinions, as maybe this is the push i need to start trying to ortganize some kinda network, of people who have had enough and who want to unite with people of similar demeanour and try put things more right and just in the world........
a lovely couple.....

I would have pulled over, walked up to him, smacked him in the mouth and slammed his big fat head in his car door. That's just not on, especilly with your girl on the back. Dickhead adult-bullys like that need to be taught a lesson. They're just twats with lives so meaningless that trying to run someone down for driving at the speed limit makes them feel like the big man and for that moment they feel superior and forget that they're a pathetic loser that just plain sucks at life.

cheers for that midnight. glad you can relate to my distaste at sundays course of events. I do have the guys number plate burned into my mind, but maybe he has my plate too?just cant kinda help feeling like something should be done to redress the balance. i was telling my mate at work, her is from mauritius and funnily enough used to be some kinda narc i think, neway, he said to me
'dan, do you beleive in god?'
i answered 'yeh, but i dont think go gunna punish him'
and he replied'god will deliver vengence'
i could agree in the idealogy and i do kbeleive in some kinda god, but i also beleive in some kinda devil, and if god makes good people, then its perfectly reasonable to assume that devil makes bad people. hell is on earth as we coesist the good and the bad. the bad are here with us, the good. some can be educated, but many people seem to be simply plain bad, or evil.
neway thanks for your thoughts midnight, but i am 5ft9 and of a slight frame.i got a rarely spiteful nature but i would have had to use a weapon to stand ne chance of beating this man in a fistfight. i better of on my bike. i just guess maybe i just need a faster bike!

you didnt really have much options as you were with your lady friend while riding on your bike. I would say you did the most reasonable thing and just kept your distance. Doing anything else may have resulted into an accident. Sometimes you just gotta let some stuff go man, there will be times where you will be able to react to situations as you please because the terms may be more fair.

a few weeks ago i had a minor bail on my crosser when a transit van came round the corner too fast and clipped my handlebars. Soon enough, my helmet flying through the air towards his rear window and he was speeding up quickly.
Not quite quick enough though.
