The Dutch government is currently testing out a new plan to try and keep the illegal traffic of marijuana from expanding, by allowing large scale marijuana cultivation to some extent. Plantations will be under strict supervision from law enforcers.

This way, coffeeshops can buy their supply from registered growers, instead of having to grow it themselves, or, as in a lot of cases, buying it from illegal plantations.

The Dutch government hopes this new rule will cause the traffic of illegal drugs to decrease.

Nah, our drugs come from Germany, we just buy them off the Dutch distributor.

It's like this:

German grower -> Dutch trafficker -> Us -> Local dealers

and every step of the way each "stop" makes a tidy profit but its best to supply to the local dealers rather than be in direct competition with them, can end up getting into trouble that way

That German dude sells for 1.5 euros a gram

We buy it off the Dutchies for 2.8-2.9, and sell it for 3.5-4, depending on quantity.
