crazy

Post by onreality »

I just joined this site but I read this thread and I just have to post a comment. It is a wierd connection between your dreams and the real world kind of like you have relived it before. When visiting my friends house for the first time I knew my whole way around the house sort of like ive been there before. I remember one detail exactly, the curtain and the window that leaded to the outside. I had had a dream about that curtain and that outside and I knew I was seeing that again. It freaked me out but it just makes me wonder about dreams and their connections to the reality in which we place our minds.

I know what you mean. Many people, including myself, believe that we astral travel in our sleep. It just means your spirit visits other places. I don't think that every dream is an astral travel just some. alright I'm really drunk and high, I'm going to stop posting now...

alright I'm really drunk and high, I'm going to stop posting now...
But most of our really profound philosophical mumblings have occured while intoxicated on beer and pot (or pot and liquor, in my case:D)!

I had this dream last night that I should have written down, but didn't, because I only remembered a hot fragment. (And I didn't feel like getting out of bed. Damn for not following my own advice).

Something about increasing surface space for living by using strange trees... I could see the leaf stems and all the little metallic leaves alligning sort of mechanically, to create elevated surfaces for living. I saw a rich living room atop one such tree, in vibrant colors. An old woman was sitting, and reading from a book.

......Im having an altercation with my Dad. Screaming Yelling "FUCK YOU" "GO TO HELL" arguing leads into me running as fast as I can away from my house, away from my parents, away from it all. Im running so fast my heart is going to explode..... Whats that... barking... Look to my left, The biggest German Shepard is chasing me.. Snarling, foaming from the mouth, barking, chasing me. Its going to go for my throat I can sense it. I cant run I must turn and fight..... Suddendly I have the strenght and agility of 100 men. The Beast lunges at me I sidestep... whew no damage done. The dog is pissed it jumps again.... I catch the dogs head between my hands... I start squeezing on the dogs head, harder and harder like a vice I squeeze. I feel something crack, something fall to pieces. Where the dogs head once was is a lifeless piece of skin. Blood and brains everywhere..... I am victorious, I killed the beast... I am the beast....

I woke up covered in a cold sweat at this time.

Whoah, that's chilling :) What do you think this beast could represent?

I think it represents the way Im feeling inside right now. So many things are changing Im conufused, lost, maybe even a little scared right now. i cant explain it but Im starting to feel different, my views are changing, ive noticed that Ive matured both mentally and physically in such a short period of time..... Lifes wierd.

Maybe it means I have to turn around and face myself?

this is a poem i wrote a few months ago about a reoccuring dream i've had for as long as i can remember.

A dark night with no stars
Breath s t e a m s out like smoke
Two men in matching tan uniforms
Labels on the back unclear,
Both laying patches of sod
Atop an already thick turf,
On the moldy green driveway
A lone, rusty tricycle sits
Telling stories of old times,
In the two-car garage
Ancient tools litter the walls
No use trying to reach one
The walls keep expanding,
The garage door seems so tall
Forty stories and still growing,
The door opens
Revealing inside the strange house,
The entire inside filled with
Obscenely large car speakers,
Walls ripple like the ocean at
High tide, waves of speakers
Crash into one another

just found another poem about a dream that i wrote...

Altitude: 37,000 feet.
We will begin our descent,
please return to your seats
and fasten your seatbelts
In the captain's chair, I point
the nose earthward, cutting through
clouds at seven-hundred miles per hour,
Altitude: 23,000 feet.
Dropping through the sky,
I glance back at the faceless passengers
Sitting erect with hands folded politely,
The smell of burning jet fuel lingers in
the recycled air of the cabin,
Displays show both engines exploded
Due to mechanical mishaps,
Altitude: 10,000 feet and dropping.
I glance back into the main cabin,
Passengers now acting like wild monkeys,
Climbing over one another,
Screaming obscurely,
Cabin now a thick rain forest,
Altitude: 2,000 feet, WARNING!
Thinking quickly, I activate the landing gear,
Horizon drawing nearer,
Fearing the worst, I close my eyes,
Emptiness, is this the afterlife?
In an instant, the plane is on the ground,
A perfect vessel,
Stuck in traffic on I-35*.

* I-35 is Interstate 35, fyi.

And they thought I was crazy for putting The Dreamery in the Poem section. :P

I've had that happen before, when I go to write it down. It just comes out rhythmically..... obviously there is a connection between the soul and poetry, just as Aristotle said.

I thought that dream was really interesting, Jewstin. Methinks another merging of the physical and astral planes.

thanks :D

i really think that poetry is a great story teller. it just sounds so much better than, "like omg! the other day me and kelly went like to the mall!"

does that make sense? it does to my high brain.

When the fumes hit the head a door opens up that was never present before. as you look into this open door you see and think of things that obvioulsy would never come under a sober state.

Marijuana is a Medicine my friends. When will the government learn?

when all the tight-assed, ultra conservative representatives die or get assassinated will weed start on its journey towards legalization

This one was so vivid, yet everything about the dream that made sense was leaving me even as I struggled to capture it. For one hot second when I woke up, I was terrified.

He broke into my house. He made a connection with my mind and drew me to him. Forgot it all... he cut out my tongue. Struggling to speak. Somehow he was decapitated. I remember his headless body lying in my driveway as the dawn broke. I was wearing some ninja garb.

Damn, I would post all sorts of wild and crazy dreams I've had over the years, but then I read the first page, and, well, I'm sorry, but smoking reefer, eating breakfast, and school are the things that come first in my morning, not Weedguru. Weedguru is usually an evening-nighttime activity after I'm done hanging out with people, doing my drugs, going places, and whatever else is lined up for the day.

You don't have to go straight to weedguru, you just have to go straight to writing it down. That's what I do, and transcribe it later.
