Some interesting opinions hear. I think specta makes a good point.

For fucks sake though, this war is not about OIL, thats such a fucking stupid idea. There is no way on earth that the usa could get enough oil to make a profit of the war. The war was a fucking huge amount of money, and there is no way the UN would let usa take any oil anyway.

Clinton was the best president the us had for ages, he was reasonably intelligent as well.

I think the fact that they found no weapons of mass destruction is copmpletely irrelevent as they would definitely have been sold ages ago, as soon as a search for them was undertaken.

How can Bush in the USA become leader of the freeworld when even though america classes itself as the most democractic nation of the world it quite clearly isnt with the lower voter turnout that the UK or other European countries obviously riggable elections for how Mr.Bush got into presidency to begin with. I could go on but I wont.

Its actually quite fucked up. Gore actually got more votes but bush won? I mean i think that is quite messed up. Allthough I cant say that i would want Gore as president either. Everyone shoulda voted third party last year that woulda been way better.

Actually, experts estimate Iraq holds about $1,200,000,000,000 (1,200 BILLION dollars, or 1.2 TRILLION dollars) in oil reserves (both known and unknown reserves), so a 100 billion dollar war is just peanuts.

But I think there are many reasons for this war.

1) Oil.
2) Bush needed something to boost his approval ratings after fucking up the Osama chase.
3) Test new weapons.
4) Clean up after Bush sr.

2. The U.S has a destiny
3. The U.S has to set examples for the rest of the world
a) So that the world would want to copy U.S Democracy
