AndyPunx wrote:i live in a town called stafford in the UK
i think we're pretty much the centre of the country
its a small town, about 50,000 people (at least i think thats small)
sadly, most of the youth population is seperated into a few different groups. we call these groups trendies/townies, greebos, and basicly theres everyone else
trendies/townies by stereotype listen to popular music, such as hip hop, dance etc and where such clothes as nike, adidas tracksuit type clothes or sometimes "trendie" label jeans like..topman or something
greebos round here are basicly the alternative people like punks goths metalers grungers.
these two groups dont get on too well which causes a problem, the "trendies" beleive we are freaks which leads us greebos to beleive they are heartless and ignorant. not everyone is likethis though, there are a handful (like me) who can be freinds with anyone (aslong as they are willing to be freinds with us).
large ammounts of these people smoke weed, which is good right? nah, the trendies try to bully the greebos into giving up weed for them, and sell at rediculous prices for the ammount
dispite all this negativity, stafford is a good town. the good times outweigh the badtimes (although very little to do)
the police are bastards. they, like the "trendies" discriminate against the "greebos" and try to remove us from the main area that we like to hang out by saying we are causing trouble when we are clearly not as the greebos by nature and good, mellow people.
well thats my story
i hope i didnt sound too biased there and i should also say that i dislike labeling people in the way ihave done so in this topic, it was merely to explain. i beleive in a world where everybody gets on with no discrimination or labeling, you know what i mean
small thats alot of people man. my town only has 232 people in it.

lol, well in the UK we would call your town a village without thinking
a small one at that
we have villages with like well over a thousand people
but as standard goes over here, stafford is a small town lol
i always thought it was strange though, 50,000 is a lot of people

true but i live in america i guess. and in the midwest 50,000 people equals a large city around here but on the east coast thats small.

yeah, dont ya think its strange how norms like that are different in a different part of a country?
i suppose its because you're such a big country but sayin that, its not like a continent where each country is majority of one nationality
each state as far as i know has a majority of americans?
but correct me if i am wrong

The number of people in an area doesn't always govern what it is, e.g. for somewhere to be a city it must have a cathedral so I spose alot of places people think of as cities might just be very big towns.
Although I don't spose anyone cares about that anymore & a city is just a place with more people than a town which has more people than a village etc.

yeah
theres a "city" about 15 miles from where i live, its roughly the same size as my "small town" yet it has a cathederal so its a city
but its not like the big cities such as mancheser, london, birmingham that are full of huge areas and like millions of people

i dont really know man, i never payed much attention to my country, it never had anything for me to listen to
now i smoke pot, my country makes less sense than it did when i was younger so i know little

its like a village doesnt have a town centre
a town as a town centre with a shoping area
and a city has a cathederal

but it all came from like the 16th century, when civilisation grew
not too sure
the system now is differnt to the original that defined eevrything but sort of based on it

I live above Philly. In the suburbs where the woman are 4'10" with loud high heels and ugly bleach blonde hair...and their enourmous white SUV...that gets like 4 MPG. :| There is nothing to do but Toke, and Toke I do. All the teens around here are shimmering images of their stuck up parents. And weed is pretty expensive as well. I've paid as much as 50 for an 1/8

Apparently not ALL the teens where you live are stuck up, because you seem like a pretty cool guy. Unless, of course, you're not a teenager

Well not all. I have my friends and I. We're all pretty level, and our age range is pretty wide at that. Just a lot harder to find some down to earth people sometimes.

Thanks for the comment :)
