asmodeus if your email is at hotmail you can select a option to give you details of where they came from or if not, goto www.astalavista.com thye have some pretty decent tools for preoblems like you have, if ya need a good fire wall try ISS black ice,

i have the server firewall software, if the site is hosted from your pc etc
would save your site n not cost you $600 =]

btw proxys dont slow you down too much, but you can still get traced, even with a spoofer or mask ya ip can get traced, cuz the code you downlaod still has to go some where and that can be traced.
