You must have read my mind, Blunt Docta! I was going to reply to this thread by saying I haven't watched Avatar, either. I also still haven't watched the new Alice in Wonderland.

Anyways, when the movie ended I didn't get depressed, but happy because that shit sucked balls.
Sure it's got nice visuals, even stimulates scientific curiousity... but the movie isn't very original and why the fuck would I want to have sexually bonded relationships with other animals and plants by connecting my hair penis to them.
for the same reason you live. because it's what you do.
at the end of the day
everything we do on earth is as retarded as what's hapening on their planet.
it's just different.
altho - i also think the story was cliché and easy to predict.
but i love how the general is fuckin raw - getting outside no mask just to shoot on people.
awesome

My purpose is to fuck humans. I'd rather eat mushrooms and drop acid if I want to feel like I'm having sex with nature and animals.

Na, he just thought too highly of himself.
I just watched this movie tonight, yes I'm behind the curve... Generally I agree with the census, Beautiful visuals, predictable, worn out story line...even with those down falls, it is still worth watching, admittedly solely for the visuals... I can see the appeal.

I watched Avatar for the first time on Monday night.
I could only think of one thing while watching it:
"Man, I wish I was high right now."

Great movie Abby.
I saw Avatar in 3D in theaters when it first came out but yesterday I watched it at home for the first time since. I have to say it was better than I expected when you just watch it as a movie in and of itself without the 3D aspect. I was realllly high the first time when I saw it in theaters so years later I didn't really remember it that well. Anyway just adding my appreciation.

It'd be neat to check out Avatar at home, I only saw it in theaters I think.
And Into the Wild! I really really need to check out that movie. I read the book after much badgering by my gf and it was amazing, only took a few hours to read really, I know the movie craps on a lot of it but what do you expect from a movie. Will report back soon.
