My friend's cat had kittens, and I named the cross-eyed funny looking one Special Ed. That's still his name, and it turns out that it suits him. He doesn't even meow.

Can anyone think of any way that I could train her to smell for weed? Their must be a fairly simple way to do it, i've just got a mind bland thats all.

I know it'll take a long time for her to learn it but i reckon it'll be worth it

Any suggestions welcome....

yeah, first off u need to get a big box of dog treats, small ones else she will get fat

start by teaching her basics, sitting, laying down, staying, rolling over, giving poor and stuff. reward with treats after each succesful trick

then u gotta teach her to find treats. giver her a sweet, then let her watch u hide it in the room somewhere, while she sits and waits a distance away. call her over and help her find it. eventually she iwll find them on her own. and eventually she will find them without watching u hide them. then u gotta gradually replace the sm,ell of treats with weed, so that she will learn to find it.........

oh yeh, and its a good idea to hide a sweet on top of the bag of weed at first, so she has a reason to find it (to get the sweet.) then u gotta keep a bunch of dog treats with u when ur out with her finding weed, because when shes found it she will expect a treat for it. otherwise shell get bored of doing it and ul have to re train her... :O

BAD IDEA! First, if you're not quick enough, your dog will eat your stash. Second, my cats can smell weed (I smoked them out too much) and they actually ate about $20 worth of my weed one day. I salvaged the rest, and about 2 months later, they ate my last bud. I found the bag under my bed all chewed up.
You don't want to risk that. If a cat can steal my weed, imagine what a strong dog could get into.

Once i finish uni im going to join the police force and become a police dog handler, so if you fancy waiting three or four years ill turn her into a lean, mean, drug finding machine.
And another point, DONT hide sweets from her. She will get used to eating what she finds, bad thing obviously. A bag full of pot pourri or something is best. If she picks it up when she finds it dont give her a treat just place it back. You want her to bark when she sees the item to alert you.
Grab some books, even if they dont have this trick in there youll get to know dog mentality and once you get that you will have a better chance.
