Personally I have never bothered much with testing ph, and have never had many issues.
I got nute lock up once, but that's nothing a good flush won't fix

really? this intrigues me... my friend is obsessed with it... but its his first time too..

That's what I have done for all my indoor grows...

I did initially check the ph of my tap water though . Some tap water can be really off...mine wasn't...it was right around neutral. If it's really off then you would definately want to make some adjustments..or buy water

You can check the water before adding nutes, then add them and thoroughly soak the plant until water comes out the bottom of the pot. Then test the runoff water

also if you're using sink water, let it run for about 10 seconds before you use it to get rid of the water just sitting in the sink

The proof is in. Even though the red hairs were 100% red. the tricomes hadn't turned amber yet.
