Yes I understand that you can talk in your sleep due to dreams, but getting shot in your leg in a dream, isnt going to be the reason your leg hurts

Ever heard of the condition where people who ahve lost one or more of their limbs but somehow they still can feel them attached to their body and they feel that they can move them around and control them even though they've been detached months or even years ago? The only reason they feel as if they still have limbs is because the mind won't let itself believe that they are no longer there. I don't know the exact name of the disorder but if the mind is capable of that then why can't it be capable of placing pain where there should be none.

It has everything to do with it. If Animals brain believed the fact, and a fact it is indeed, albeit happening within Animal's dream, that he was shot twice in the leg, it could send/recieve false or fake messages causing him to feel pain in his muscles. It's almost the exact same thing, feeling something that isn't there or doesn't exist... cept Animal still has his leg, it just hurts because his mind is believing his leg has suffered damage.

Exactly that, if Animal Believes that it happened. But someone who is not influenced by dreams and can realise that a dream cannot effect something in the real world will know that its ridiculous.

It's not even a matter of Animal himself believing it. It's a matter of Animal's MIND believing it. Anyone can control their thoughts, but it takes dedication and focus for one to control his own mind. If his mind believes the psuedo-fact that he's been shot in the leg, Animal wouldn't have any choice in wether he could believe it or not. One's thoughts and One's mind are two competing forces. The mind is the force that pops random thoughts into your head or what causes your attention to jump from one thing to another without thinking. The mind is a very deceptive mistress.

Yes but thats exactly it, his mind is telling him that. Its like if my mind was telling me im CEO of Microsoft, it doesnt make me CEO of Microsoft. He biased in his decision of what he thinks caused it. But in reality a dream did not cause a pain in his leg

No, but in reaelity his dream TOLD his mind to think that there was a pain in his leg. Doesn't mean there are any wounds, or bullets lodged in his body. That doesn't even matter. It's just the fact that this phantom pain is being held in place by some sort of mental cross circuit. I mean this doesn';t happen to everybody, just like not everybody dreams in colour. It is all in the mind, but the mind can clearly have definitive and strong effects on the human body and sometimes even in the physical realm.

But its like we said, music or something can effect a dream. He could of knocked his leg and that could of caused his mind to give the impression in his dream that he had been shot.
I wont respond to your next post until later, im going sleep

Yeah, he COULD have bumped his leg, but it wouldn't make sense that the pain from bumping his leg would last over a week like he said. In all honesty the most we can do is speculate and guess and draw upon our personal and what little scientific facts we know about the dreamscape.
Anyways
Sweet Dreams Tweedle hehe
