Another possibility -- My cat was peeing in the living room a lot and we thought it was because he was angry at us, which has happened in the past. In the past, he's always responded to behaviour modification and stopped doing it, but this time he didn't, so we took him to the vet and found out that he has DIABETES. This is something that apparently happens fairly often to older cats, especially males. It is easy to treat, but if your cat has diabetes, DAILY treatment is necessary. If your cat has diabetes, and you either can't afford to treat him or can't keep up with doing it on a daily basis, you should try to find him a home with someone who can take care of him. There are people who adopt special needs cats. Search for "cat rescue" or "cat adoption services" on the Internet.
10 years old isn't that old for a cat, depending on the breed, he could easily live another 5 to 10 years if he's cared for. You might not be able to tell that he's sick, but if he is, then he is suffering and needs treatment. If this is the case, it's also likely that he's upset and unhappy about everyone being angry at him when he pees where he's not supposed to. It's possible that by doing this, he's actually trying to tell you that there's something wrong.
Please try to take care of your kitty! I don't mean to lecture or anything, but if behaviour modification doesn't help and the inappropriate peeing continues, it's really quite important to get to the bottom of it. Good luck.

Maybe he forgets because you get him high?BGDetroit wrote:We got a cat we've had for about 10 years now. And for about a year hes been pissing all over. Its fucking annoying and something has to be done. What the hell can you do to make him stop?
Everytime he pisses on one of our beds or anything we rub his face in it and smack him let him know he did something wrong. He realizes hes been bad for a couple hours then its like he forgot.
Any advice?

If he's that old he's prolly gotten to the point where he's just gon piss anywhere and not care, nothin you really can do about it old cats don't get potty trained. You can newspaper the shit out of shit and yell at him when he does it if that helps anything I duno. But I'm pretty sure once they get old enough you can't stop the flow of golden shower

My best friends's dog is going blind from diabetes
ontopic:
It might just be his old age, the start of incontinence...
Save up some cash and take it to the vet, it can't be that expensive right?
How much does it cost to get your cat checked in the us?

Computer games don't affect kids. I mean, if Pac-Man had affected us as kids, we would all be running around darkened rooms, munching magic pills, and listening to repetitive electronic music.

No, he was right its incontinence not imcompentence. Incompetance means you are not competent. Incontinence means you have bladder problems, can't hold it back.CelticOne wrote:Weed-iculous wrote:don't worry, i used to pee all over my hosue too. But now i wear a diaper so its ok. hehehe, THATS A TRUE STORY no its not. i just tried a new smoking method. we didn't have anything but a water bottle and a gum wrapper, so we burnt off the paper, and got the foil and put that in the mouth piece of the water bottle, and burnt a hole in the side that we sucked out of and hit it like the traditional chillum style where the bowls in the air and someone else, or you awkwardly light it...it worked pretty well.

Thanks homie.Weedguru Flynn wrote:try spraying eucalyptus on the area where he is pissing. it apparently neutralises the scent so he won't feel the need to piss there again. my cat roger used to piss on my sisters bed and we started spraying this stuff and he never wen't near it again, just started using his litter tray again
