weedguru_animal wrote:It has arrived. Slowly but surely through the day the temperature rose and rose and rose...reached around 42-44C and has since lingered. Not likely to drop below 40C until 9pm, and then it will only sink to the mid 30s....back up again to 42 for tomorrow. Everything is hot, the ground, the walls, the taps, the cups, the chairs, the bed, the bricks...even the silver cutlery which has been hidden in the drawer all day. Nowhere and nothing can hide, other than those fortunate to have air conditioning. We have but the one portable air con system, which is fighting hard and loud against the onslaught. With no need to wear any clothes its the perfect time for delicious lust, but this heat preclude such a glorious thing, for skin on skin, skin on anything but cold water, is tiring and uncomfortable.

I probably shouldnt be drinking vodka, but what else can I do??? At least the alcohol may help me sleep an hour or three during the darkness.

Horrid. Truly fucking horrid.
Wanna trade?

-38C tonight. THAT is truly fucking horrid. Especially after rain and temps of 8C yesterday!

+8 to -38 sounds like a good way to get some nasty icy roads and walkways

Yep, exactly.

A friend of mine got stuck driving her car up the entrance to the bank which is on a small incline. Since she was stuck she got out of the car...only to fall and break her knee! Required an ambulance, surgery and pins in her knee. I smell a lawsuit.

I'd be happy to, Higher...I have always enjoyed the sunshine and heat when near the ocean, but otherwise not so much. Yet I adore the cold, feel much more comfortable been able to add threads and find warmth and coziness in bed under several quilts in the english winter, which I truly miss. The snow, ice, gales, chilling rain...all wonderful.

I hope you guys haven't either melted or frozen to death.

It's the end of my first week at the new job, feeling pretty good.

As the company is a start up there's only three of us, which makes it kind of new to me. All my previous employers were SME's or big corporations so I'm used to having more colleagues around, not that it bothers me as they're pretty nice people and we get along well so far.

It'll be a hard couple of months because the company's still struggling to get rolling but we're close and with some hard work the benefits may be enormous .

I'm off to go hang with a buddy that just got dumped by his girl, his girl left him for one of his best friends so he's pretty down.

I'll try to cheer him up and smoke him out for a bit, then I'm on to happier people to have a drink and celebrate the week's end!

What are you guys up to ?

P.S. : I read the Japanese are planning on using an enormous 'net' to catch debris in orbit around our planet, junk is very dangerous when it's moving at over 27.000km/s . :p

Just a mildly stoned thought that popped in as I was finishing this nonsensical post!

Have a good one guys!

How is the new job, Flow...and what is a start-up...and what are you doing for your gold nuggets???

The weather has changed here, I have revived, and found more joy than for many days of horrid heat. Work remains a warzone, with my effort and output amazing, yet my management hateful of me. Its a personal problem, which basically revolves around my tendency to say, when faced with a team talk which seems stupid, something along the lines of 'well...that seems...rather awful'.

It is of next to zero consequence how well I do in my role, which hardly makes great use of my natural talents, but still, I excel...all that matters to these fools is that they dislike me personally, for failing to adhere to a YES MAN stance.

And just when I feel love in my arms at home, I find tonight, nothing but fangs...from my hound, from the girl. Fuck this, I will turn to the drink, eat heartily and try write my way out of this hole of the making of others.

coming in early in a start-up can be very taxing, but oh the rewards can become that much greater. Work hard, adapt and prosper. Turn this start-up into a multinational powerhouse.

Then you can hire all us guys and we'll lie and cheat our way to millions before crashing and spiralling out of control in a drug fuelled nose dive... It'll be fun.

Period of strangeness all round. At work my bosspig is absent, and I am working harder and more productively than ever, with a smile often on my face. Still waiting to hear back from another job I applied for, in a far more fitting customer service role. The recent heat wave, one of the worst for a century here, abated, but is on its way back and I am already sweating. My savage queen is removed...detached...which places me in a tricky position. My senses are always set to heightened, but what can you love when there is nothing in front of you???...I suspect the source, though have not the energy to fight through the defences presently, so will hold fire, hold my tongue, see how things develop...Meanwhile we are planning our next jaunt across the globe, to take in the motherland (of course) belgium, holland, Germany, croatia and then Italy (with a jump to sicily to hunt down the latin side of my famigla).

All in all I feel like I am producing much but feeling very little. Perhaps its the weather...a week of 35-45C including the dark hours seems to have skanked me in many ways.

I am now a Senior IT Recruitment Specialist.

So basically still comes down to talking a shitload to a shitload of people but with a far better wage and as it is a start up a very big opportunity if the company really starts growing.

Nice to see there are people still here! I will be in Amsterdam from the 6th till the 9th of March with a few friends, if anyone cares to join us for a day or two, let me know!

Aside from that, hello again to everyone :) it has been a wee while indeed!

I have been away for some time so will give a short n sweet update. I'm still living in Glasgow but have moved in with my two best school friends which has been going swimmingly for the past 6 months. Still hammering away for Tesco which will SOON come to an end. My job situation is like that of a caterpillar at the moment, small, shitty and slow, but will eventually transform into a beautiful, free insect! .... Or something like that. So in short, I am alive and things are pretty much A-OK at the moment!

Hope to hear from ya'll soon, stay stoned (drunk, pilled, wired, trippin!)

and some smilies for fun:

:hessam:

:smileydance:

:blunt:
