thats kinda weird because bob marley was a rasta and preached peace and love , i always loved bob marley and i would of never thought and still dont think that he could of been racist, thats my opinion

Guys, you need to keep in mind when these ideals were founded.

Hell if i was black, and living backthen i'd want to kill all white people too. White people considered blacks less than them, killed, beat, and totally neglected their feelings. That must have really hurt them and their pride.

are you sure about that whole hate thing? idk it just seems hard to believe that people who smoke weed hate other people.

rastafarianism is also based a lot on the bible and thats where they get the whole smoking weed idea. Idk somewhere it says that god said to love the grass and trees of the earth so they but their spin on it and took that to mean weed.

also lions are a very big part of the religion. the dreadlock represent a lions mane i think. idk im baked...

rastas take somes sort of vow to hate babylon, after this vow is taken they do not cut their hair. so basically dreads are a symbol of rebellion against the corporate world. cannabis plants grew on the grave of king david or so i've heard.
