Use a trumpet mouthpiece for the bowl/downpipe. That's what I do and it works perfect, all you have to do is put a little screen over the hole so you don't suck a bunch of weed through.

actually it shouldnt realy matter, as long as the weed stays in the bowl for the light its hould be good. and if u dont have schwagg but u got some nice stuff DONT break up the bud(keep it whole enough for like a half gram depending on the person) If u do hav crappy weed put a screen in there and break it up, thats bcause u got seeds in there and if u smoke em u get a mad bad head ache. Thats y i smoke the finest hydro. 20 bucks a gram. Ur prob wonderin how i afford it. I dont smoke that much.

all you really need to make a bong is a mountain dew can, a pen, and some aluminum foil.

i thought up the perfect poorkid homemade bong...

take a little empty co2 cartrige like the ones u used for a pump paintball gun, cut the top off and theres ur bowl...

u can basically use anything u want for the pipe, my friend is making me a 7inch metal pipe in his shop class...

connect the bowl to the pipe using a silicone based glue because i hear that it doesnt melt when heated, never tried it tho, so far bubbleicious has been holding up fine for me (that would make ur downpipe)...

get a 1 liter water bottle...

down pipe in the side of the water bottle, make sure its underwater...

make a carb or shotgun hole or w/e u call it, just above the water level...

inhale through the mouth part where u drink from...
