That's probably true, inhaling water is no big deal since that's what we are, but inhaling fumes from volatile liquids? Not so smart.

I've seen this done by a few different people with butane instead of alcohol (butane will evaporate much faster than alcohol and I'm pretty sure it's a better solvent for cannabinoids than alcohol). The final product was a sticky tar kind of stuff that gets you STONED. My neighbor had a special bong used for smoking it (funnily enough my friend across town told me about the exact same substance smoked out of a similar type bong around the same time, but I don't think he knows my neighbor). I don't remember the exact set up of it but it was some kind of ceramic plate that you heat up with a torch lighter until it's glowing red, and then you somehow press the oil on it and hit the bong. I took one hit of this stuff (it was like a drop) and was BAKED off my ass for hours. It was incredible. I want to get my hands on more of that shit but more importantly, I want that crazy bong attachment he used to smoke it so that when I do get some I can get hella baked.

i was wondering about hexane, its a non-polar solvent like butane but a liquid like iso, so you can agitate and such, any methods and yield amounts on that?

I don't know from practical experience. Based on the chemistry, I believe hexane will work exactly the same as butane, although it will not evaporate as quickly. I don't see any reason it wouldn't work though.

I was reading up on how to make hash oil and was wondering if the isopropyl has to be 99% or if using 70/91 % alcohol is okay? Also i've read to make sure the rubbing alcohol isn't "denatured", now if it is so, will it say on the front label?

The lower the percentage, the higher the water concentration. Though technically it can be used, 70% won't absorb as much THC, (which means less of the final product) will take longer to evaporate and will leave a residue
