Plus, what other common book would mean that much to people...? Tom Clancy, Stephan King...I get that your an atheist so you dont like that aspect of the movie, but its really the only book in my mind that they could have used

they couldve used the old testament but that would probably result in the world using slaves and whatnot again

there is the old testament, which is a bible. but it tells you to fear everything.. it also comes before jesus.
the new testament is 'the' bible, it aswell as the old testament contains 52 'books' this one teaches you to be kind and all that jazz.
there are several other bibles of christianity but most were lost or burned.
