Does yawning a lot or cracking your jaw make your ear pop and snap? I used to get tons of ear infections when I was a wee lad. They really sucked but drinking that yellow banana flavored medicine was tha bomb.

My left ear 'works' for about 75%.

Three/four years ago I got a head but in the left side of my head (my left temple?). It was a pretty strange experience, except for it hurting like a motherfucker (my entire head) I didnt hear shit on my left side for the first ten minutes.

And then it kinda started morphing back though I had this constant high pitched sound going 'IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIi' inside my head (tinnitus), you know those war movies where someone gets hit by a grenade and the sound goes from slow motion-like to 'normal' again? that's what I had.

So now, four years later I still have tinnitus, I can't hear high frequencies of sounds above I don't know what frequency and have a constant 'IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIi' sound in my left ear.

So yeah people, ear problems suck! guard your ears well :)

Yeah, it's like the way kids in class can tell when a TV is on by the high pitched buzz it makes but the teachers can't. A lot of kids set their cell phone ringers to a high pitch ring like this and teachers never know what's up.

No, they just tested the normal range of frequencies for adults and in the higher range I just don't hear from a certain frequency on :s

interesting. our local sainsbury's has this thing that they turn on when younger kids are hanging around outside the shop, it makes a high pitched noise, i can hear it but some of my mates can't. eventually the kids move on. its similar to those things that piss cats off.

WRX upgraded well beyond STi specifics.

But yeah.
My ear no longer hurts. It just rings and I still have some hearing loss but it's not as bad as it was before. I would call it 75%. Maybe 80%. Either way, it's not that bad. What's a doctor going to do for me anyhow?

Well, after getting a head but in my left temple and went to the hospital they told me it was a good thing i came so soon after the accident, the longer you wait the less chance of recovery you have.

So i spent a week in the hospital, spending four hours a day in a high pressure tank (deepsea divers use them to adjust to the pressure level) with a pure oxygen mask stuck on my face (adding the 100% oxygen increased the blood flow through my body, thus getting more blood back into my 'hearing nerve' as they called it --> better recovery then)

Then they made me do a wide range of hearing tests, including the frequencies and I recovered pretty well, from 30% to 75-80% so my hearing isn't that bad, I just have that damned screeching sound in my ear all the time (tinnitus).
