Couldn't Superman fly up there and push the sun away from Earth a few inches or feet so?

I think a big factor that is leading to global warming is all the pavement we are covering the Earth with. It's black, so it sucks up the sun's heat and makes the Earth's insides all hot and sweaty.

Yep.

theres nothing that can endure the suns heat. We would fall very short before seeing whatever we throw at it singe like your knuckle hair after a night passin the bong.
Cheers,

Good point, i never thought of that before. But a real simple solution would be to legalize growing hemp (cultivation purposes at least) that way no more trees get cut down to to produce pulp for paper or any of that stuff and we just make everything we use to make out of trees, now out of hemp. because we're just accumulating too much CO2 in the atmosphere and thats what trees breathe in and convert into oxygen

Image

Thats why this graph showing CO2 levels in the atmosphere goes up and down cause in the summer the trees breath in the CO2 (which shows the drop) but in the winter they cant cause their all dead (which shows the rise)

Um One thing i've heard is marijuana could help fight global warming(Absorbing Carbon Dioxide) like most plants. So make about 10 acres of it and theres some help. Also if they blocked out the sun light, what the hells that gonna do? Trees and plants will die. Im sure if i t blocks out sunlight its gonna block out most heat. So it'll be cold. So were just gonna kill ourselves sooner if they do this? Legalize Marijuana, and it'll help a bit. But there gonna have to figure something out about pollution, why don't they do war on pollution instead of terroism.

because the nuke wouldn't have narly enough fuel, and it would detonate within a quarter of a million miles of the sun, or so
I'm sure it would still look pretty kickass.

This somewhat reminds me of 'The Animatrix' , the episode in which humankind, as a last resort versus the robots, block out the sun by pumping dark thick smoke into the atmosphere.

Kinda fucked up, America can block out it's own sun but it ain't touching MINE!

besides, plants would die without sunlight...
Computer games don't affect kids. I mean, if Pac-Man had affected us as kids, we would all be running around darkened rooms, munching magic pills, and listening to repetitive electronic music.

If we were to suddenly cease pollution then the Earth would turn into a giant iceball. Our CO2 production has caused the population growth of photosynthetic bacteria in the oceans. If we suddenly stop pumping all this CO2 into the atmosphere, those bacteria would use all the CO2 in photosynthesis and drastically reverse global warming to the point where no greenhouse gases exist in the atmosphere at all and we get a snowball Earth. It's happened more than once in our planet's history.

In the time of the dinosaurs, the Earth was much hotter than it is today. Global warming is just the remnants of the last ice age fading away. We've just accelerated the process, and now it's becoming a serious problem.

The article wasn't suggesting blacking out the sun, it was suggesting reflecting about 1% of the sun's light back into space.

Maybe we should just jettison large amounts of water into space?...or onto Mars...

Due to global warming, the oceans are gonna rise 15-30 feet...goodbye Hawaii, Florida, NYC...basically anything along the coastlines will be gone,

but surely dumping a shitload of water into space would just disrupt the natural cycle even more. plus it would be very uneconomical to do that.

So we just say goodbye to our coastal areas? We could all just start taking longer showers or drink more water or some shit.
