WHile I am more than happy to conclude that some of my most revered artists have sprung from the US, I hold just as strong conclusions that the uS has without any doubt the highest % of ignorant humans of any society on the planet of now or anywhere back in history. I would whole heartedly agree with anyone who defends the small but amazing % of Americans who are both highly aware and artisticaly superior to their peers the world over. But that doesn't detract from the obvious fact that the US contains an inordinate amount of disgracefully ignorant humans. There are many reasons for this..The origins, the nature of the white settlers, the leaders who have controlled the growth of the society we now see...
When there are several states of a country the size of the US in which the majority of people are dumb, it is no surprise that a man as dangerous as Bush can be voted into power with some gusto. It is also therefore not surprising that the media institutions of the US have a relatively easy to control and manipulate populace to play with how they wish.

Unfortunately, it is beneficial for the US government, this version and previous versions, to encourage the propogation of this group of mentally inadequate idiots. Because a large group of slaves, and I am talking about slaves without physical shackles- these slaves have genetic shackles, well anyway a large group of slaves can be used to keep the economy going, not ask any questions to their masters and continue to keep the powers at the top in their fortified positions.

Australia's % of dumb perople is lower than that of the yankees but higher than the % dumb here in the UK (however a large % of those not dumb in the UK are downright nasty and cold); it is still irritaiting enough to be noticed in day to day existence( in melbourne and queensland at least) given the staggered nature of the aussie population. To my mind, nothing can beat the yanks when it comes to ignorance. but also for me personally, nothing can beat the yanks when it comes to both music and literature (though the russians of past centuries have scaled similar peaks).

I have mixed in AUstralia and the UK for a minor comparison because my knowledge of now and before is greatest for those teo countries and the US.

But no, I don't think that video was at al staged, contrived. The people seemed interviewed seemed sincerely fucked up and evidence as if it was needed that the human race is certainly not evolving for the better...

I feel really ashamed when I watch this video and see some of the answers people give. Safe to say this doesn't represent the entire American population, I like to think I'm a bit smarter than those people. I answered every question in my head as they were asked, I kind of laughed because when he said name a country that begins with U, I didn't think of the USA either until he said it. Actually I thought of Uruguay.

It's something called the law of averages...if you talk to 500 people on the street, a certain percentage are expected to answer with an below average IQ..now, given, the percentage is going to fluctuate depending on the location, you could pretty much do this anywhere in the world, with enough editing.

Not really offended at all...laughed quite a bit, I've met idiots lke this, and a lot of Americans blindly follow our president, but there is just as many Americans who can think outside the box and produce thought on their own...I know, it's hard to believe, there are good people here though, we aren't all idiots.
