Yes, I'm sorry if I was not clear. I read that article thoroughly and sent it to my mother, who also analyzed it. Since I have a family history of mental illness, that is the main reason she (and I now) are concerned. Until conclusive evidence disproves the fact that marijuana could hasten the onset of symptoms, the concern will still be there. Thanks a lot for the link again. I enjoyed reading the part which talked about how regular users are typically in a better mood than non-users, lol.

How can this be factual? I'm a little confused.

When I'm not using I don't need to have any drugs to feel good, when I am using I need the drug to make me feel good.

!?

Yeah but the article also said it could lead to problems. Fact is there's not much research on the subject due to the legality of weed. I also think the article is meant more for people who 'self medicate' with weed moreso than to casual smokers.

I use to know people that felt as if weed helped them out with psychological issues. I've seen it actually help a couple different people out alot with their bipolar disorder. Others say it can lead to problems.

Honestly I think alot of perscription medications could be replaced with marijuana. Again the problem is the lack of research.

We have the pharmacutical companies to blame in part for the criminilization of weed - they didn't like the idea of medical marijuana because you can't prescribe it in "doses" and that people could easily grow their own medicine if they knew how benificial the medicinial qualities of marijuana were.
