I work with someone, and I dropped $1 one night. No big deal, you think, but it was my last one and I had nothing to eat/drink all night. The bastard who found it KNEW it was mine, because I asked everyone if they found it. He laughed, bought a pack of ring dings (UGH!) and gave the change to someone else, all the while talking about how he found the money. I was especially pissed, considering that I knew him.

Since you didn't know the guy who lost it, don't feel bad. If someone I'vw worked with for 6 months wouldn't give me back my measly dollar, then you can't expect a complete stranger to return $100.

I agree, if I actually saw the person drop it and they were still around, I would give it back. If it was just sitting there when I walked up...it would so be a part of my ganja fund...

Don't feel bad.

ErinElizabeth: That was cold that your workmate didn't give the money back...I probably would have cussed him out. Shoot a dollar is a dollar, and hunger pains are hunger pains...I'd have been pissed too

Quite recently i was sitting in the pub, and my mate got up to put money in the pool table. I thought his chair was vibrating cause there was a phone under it... i was pissed... when i looked to see what it was I found two £20 notes folded up :)
