im not mad tweedle, but i will take a quick look at their squad just to check they havent made ne big changes to what is in my head as their squad.-----

keepers-
dudek,reina and carson- reina looked decent whenver i saw him but hardly one of the best.dudek is a cheat, tho has wicked reactions and carson well he still has much to learn.(he was in goal last season for leeds still when my beloved Gills beat them)

defence-
carragher can be as solid as ne english right back, but when the bar is set by gary neville, thats hardly a difficult target to achieve. he was thebest player in liverpols champ league campaign last year without ne doubt to me. in fact he is prbably my most highly rated liverpool player, but not world class.

hyppia,traore are okay. josemi isnt amazing by ne means(but would need to see more of him really- i did like his aggressive style of play, it seemed unnatural for a spaniard?or is he south american??)

midfield-
gerrard- ok i made a mistake cos he is world class on occasions, and i think that if he was in a team like chelsea or arsenal or united then he would be more consistent when showing his true talent. shame he gets injured quite abit but i guess thats got more to do with his 'get stuck in as well as be amazing' attitude i.e. the more you put yourself about the more chance of injury.

rise- wickedly flexible with a devastating shot from range. not world class tho for me, tho very very good.

kewell- was losing his form (i thought due to injuries) at leeds, but has shown nothing as a liverpool player, nothing at all(i dont see the point in keeping him when garcia seems kinda like better than kewell even used to be in his heyday).

oh yeh finnan i like as a defender but he has always been a bit of a cheat to me, and not a very nice player.

alonso- could turn into a world class player but seems afflicted by the classicaly spanish footballing gene of inconsistency.

hamann is simply a nazi on the football pitch. he is the goebbels of football. one of the nastiest players in the game for me.

zenden- used to look wicked for ajax and barca, but not now.

cisse- 80% quality but 20%bravado- capable of explosive play but nowhere near a fisnihed article.

crouch- terrible buy. I like the guy, he always comes across as been a decent man and he gives his all but when you are 8ft 9 it is impossible to be amazing at football.

morientes- shame he is there really, was wicked when younger for real, then had a dry spell and did amazing things at monaco with little dider in charge. either the english game is just too physcial for him or he is deteriotaing every minute as a player.

pongolle- never shown me nething in real life to match his 'potential' that some people talk about. however' i was playing pro evo 4 2 couple of das ago and the little fucker scored against my cruyyfy and tostao inspired master league team in the 6* div 1 cup final. i managed to win 3-2 in the end but he looked pretty good in that medium.

so yeh i guess that concludes my critique of the liverpool team apart from the manager. i am not fan of benitez, i think his transfer policy at liverpool has been next to disasterous, and that he is very lucky to be in the job. he has brought in so many forigners, mainly spaniards i think who simply arent up for the anglish style of football. i mean can you name any spaniards who have been great successes in the premiership????
i cant.
some italians have come and done brilliantly here zola and vialli and even ravanelli, and of course di canio, but spaniards dont seem to be ready for the rigours of english fuzbal.

i used to support liverpool as a kid, when they had rushy the king, jan molby, barnes. now barnes wasa wonderful player, truly world classs as was rushy(in what he did i.e. score goals). hansen, grobbelar, dalglish, and the others. i hadmy photo take on anfield pitch when they beat chelsea 2-0 years ago, but as i got older i reazlied my support had come from my infant group of friends, in which all of us supported liverpoool.

i started to watch the gills, as they were my nearest league team, and then as i discovered my latin genes i started following juventus when i was about 11, ,mainly because of their kit which i loved instantly but also because i liked the name.

so yeh now i support gills and juventus, probably more so the gills the last few years(more due to the lack of interest in the italian game by many british supporters than a lack of regard for the bianconeri).

two ends of the spectrum!and though juve have shown me the most enjoyable football and given me so much excitemtn especially in the mid nineties, when baggio viallia ravanelli moller and baby del piero wehere about, the gills have equalled the same levels of interest and excitement due to their struggles with life as a terrible team....

Hyypia is a world class defender he won european defender of the year 2 years ago. Cisse is also World Class, as is Gerrard. Carragher has the making to become world class when he plays Centre Back not Right back and I wont even get into how racist that comment about Hamann is.

hamann looks pure evil to me, whenever he speaks whenver he plays, he has evil in his eyes.i wouldnt be at all surrpised to find out he was descended from the goebbels blood line. nasty fucker. savages other players and i never seen him show ne kinda remorse after leaving some kid crumple odn the deck.

hyppia a world class defnder is a joke to me, but everyone entitled to their own views!!

if cisse and hyppia were world class players then why would they be at liverpool who are hardly a force at all in even their own domestic league/?and havebt been a force since the late eighties. even gerrard is only there more out of loyalty and misplaced hope than because liverpool are 'going places'. i reckon hes cursing himself for not joining chelsea when he had the chance as liverpool are a shadow of the stamford bridge outfit. he does have immense talent but his team is weak with a weak manager. it doesnt work trying to turn a english team into a spanish outfit. this is why players like morientes, alonso, josemi, even garcia take ages to get into the swing of things and often are simply bustled out of gams all2 getha.

I agree Hyypia hasnt been playing amazing lately but two seasons ago he won European Defender of the Year. Seriously tho calling Hamann a nazi is racist. How long has Cisse been there? A season, give him time to gel in, the English game is hard to adjust to at first. Henry didnt score his first goal for Arsenal for 6 months and look at him now.
