Big Daddy wrote:Purple Monkey i have never thought about that. I mean i pretty much think everything can be explained scientifically.
btw--if that does not make sense, im sorry. im really, really high right now.
hmmm obviously...
anyway..the point im trying to make is that its very possible to find parallels in science and history in religion. Early man didnt understand the scientific concepts we take for granted today (like lightening for example) and the shamans, witch doctors, priests, etc cashed in on this to demostrate them as examples of "god's power"......
I found your post interesting because although i do not believe in the bible, up until i read your post i never would have put the Creation of Man (as written in the bible) and the theory of evolution together.
hope that is better.

Noah must of done alot of travelling around to get every animal. Man, that would suck! Think of how many different species of bugs there are! Assuming that evolution is all shit, and that all the bugs we have around today have always been there.
Can somebody tell me when the flood was? Like was it before the nomads? Was it after Mesopotamia? BAH this isn't even worth getting worked up about it!

my guess is probably the melting after the Ice Age...
I read somewhere that there is a sea in Egypt where there is a massive sandbar that goes right through the middle of the lake that appears for like one day each year. This is very similar to the splitting of the water no?
And Purple Monkey, you read MAD magazine?? How i love MAD magazine....

Nobody could build an ark that long ago, there weren't enough supplies...dah it's fiction, I'm not argueing anymore.
cos i live for MAD magazine, my dad used to read them so we got all the oldschool ones that are like the booklet's n stuff, plus i bought the cd's so you can read every magazine they made between whenever they started and 2000, plus ive had a subscription for the past 3 years, and i went to second-hand bookstores to scavenge for cheap mad's. i'm a bit obsessed

so ive been told some guy has found a ark that could be noas ark i dunno, i belive it can be done, its common sense to build one in the shape of a fish body (stream lined) it would work, as UN religious as i am, there is some interesting things that are supposeably happernd in the past.

No.. According to the bible Dinosaurs didn't exist because of the age of earth. Carbon dating proves otherwise.
EDIT: Also the 'ice age' was WAY before this story- I personally believe its 100% fiction. Not a single bit of evidence proving the Ark could have existed has been found. (that Rob Wyatt story isn't concrete proof)
