I missed the last one and the bastards fined me handsomely...I disputed it by suggesting I was still weighing up whether I was here on an extended holiday or actively seeking a permanent stay, and whilst I couldn't say for sure that I would be here much longer, it seemed wrong to meddle in the future of a society I could soon leave and return to my homeland of England. They complimented me on my letter, but simply bumped up the fine even more. hohohoohohoho! I had missed the cut-off point for contesting the matter. I don't remember ever voting in England. They don't seem to hunt you down and corner you with fines if you abstain back home...

Oh no, they do man... I got a letter the other day saying if i do not register to vote then i could face a £1,000 fine or so... As long as yer registered though you're ok... Was more just referring to our politicians who abstain from Westminster... No legitimacy an all that balls... (apparently some of our politicians don't see Westminster as a legitimate parliament...... Understandable, but a bit behind the times ffs.)

That's a bit of a shit one like gettin caught up in there legal bollocks though, cus ye cant be too sure how contesting it will turn out.

Do you have plans for returning to the U.K....

btw, i know this isn't the thread, so a new one should be made but, would like to know your views (as an englishman) on the potential freedom of Scotland within the next year, and how you think it will affect the U.K, in terms of all sorts really.

Interesting idea for discussion, leprechaun and one I will need to research before weighing in with an anywhere near to informed opinion. I have only a vague idea of what resources are available to scotland and how funds are divided between presently between the countries involved.

After so much travel and my Lady's now heartfelt determination to move the three of us ( my hound included of course) to foreign lands on a more permanent basis, the question of me returning to the UK is paramount in my present thoughts. I spent some time earlier this week peeking at properties in Lucca, Italy alongside the thought of purchasing, in the distant-ish future, an old building we could renovate and turn into a Bed and Dinner holiday routine. I would grow vegetables and fruit and do the cooking and man the bar and my lady could do as she pleased, hopefully roam naked when the guests were absent! Its a lovely idea...one no doubt I will speak about with her when she returns from the tail end of her travels.

Its not that easy to type at the moment as I am drinking vodka quickly to help distract me from the burning sensation in a most uncomfortable place...I was cutting old chilis in the kitchen, aiming to get the seeds out to dry them and then plant them in the garden in a week or two...my hands were covered in chili, and then, without thinking, I went for a piss...Once the horrendous sensations drew over me, I rushed to the bathroom, washed with water, only making things ten times worse...a nasty episode all round. Definitely one to avoid.

I made a similar wretched mistake a few months back when i rubbed both my eyes whilst chopping chili...whilst chili cock is excruciating a game to play unwittingly, chili eye is far worse, for it feels like your eyes are burning out of their sockets.

Its troubling me to find much joy now I am back home and my job is changing into something I already hate and I don't have my temptress to keep me focused and passionate for all the Right reasons

Its great to be back with my hound, but not much else in this country brings me joy. The garden...my nephews...tricky times all round. my body is here, but my heart and mind are in Seoul, soon en-route to Japan.

Work is awful...I am recognized in every area other than my own, as possessing immense communication skills, top drawer customer service etiquette, never subservient, but always proper, and quality with my vocals...for four years I have actually looked forward to going to work, how rare is that??? Shabby on the surface, but everything asked of me gets done with aplomb. And then...an accountant by trade, a cunt by nature, was made manager of my area. He has proceeded to remove my team leader, create divisions in the group, and clearly found me out as a dangerous rogue...reports of praise seem to worsen his attitude towards me. And now...this prick, who has fended off attacks of sexual discrimination, after talking of a colleagues short skirt, and of my former team leader as 'maybe its your time of the month'...the HR department defend him, NOTHING IS CONFIDENTIAL. I hate him. He knows this...and the worst thing about it is that I can deal with my card been marked, it should be, for despite my mother's hopeful advice of making myself a friend to this chap, I refuse, and after several incidents, I want to kill him...poison or simply cut his face off...which seems to suggest itself through my body language...the spunkslurpers he has positioned in charge of me, whilst he continues to blank me whenever we collide, continues to avoid any sense of politeness, are working for HIM...how much longer can I stand, straight-faced, tightlipped, in the face of dastardly duplicity??? Its a clear situation of hemming me into a corner, taking away everything I am not just good at, but suited to, and putting me in a fucking corner, where I deal with sheets of paper all day, NO PEOPLE, NO LIFE...I am a long in the tooth fox, who understands the way the game works, but this cunt and his minions are not looking out for the business, which is local government, they are ALL looking out for him. It was one thing in a supermarket, as a butcher, finding problems when management realized I was amazing at my job, but wouldnt behave like their pet spaniel...in the council where I work, the stakes are higher, but the same bullshit exists and persists...with an inheritance of sorts coming, courtesy of the demise of my late father, I am tending already towards joining my presently absent Queen and heading back to Europe...but before I do, if I do, I will bite this cunt's face first. And why not eh?? What would Edmond Dantes have done?? Something smarter...I am more D'artagnan, minus the cutlass. I have my blossoming Krav Maga, but before I fall on my own sword, they will feel it slicing their throats...SELAH

Animal, I think that this shit happens to everyone in every profession. I work in the food service industry and I have seen people get promoted that have no idea what they are doing and are complete ass hats. My chef is never in the kitchen and then seems to just promote people that get on their knees for him. My boyfriend has a bachelors degree in Restaurant management and it took him almost 3 years to get 1 tiny towards absolutely nothing. Yet, it took a chick that just got out of school, 6 months to advance and when she started I caught her trying to cook pasta in luke warm water that I could stick my hand into... WHAT??? Team leaders walk around and leave early and which higher ups care? None because all of them do it too. The people that work the hardest, get fucked in the ass because we refuse to kiss an ass. The reason no one sees the things going down is because when the bosses come around, everyone magically become the best employees, but once the bigwigs are gone its back to fucking around. Now I know that I will never advance in my company but I don't care. I went back to school for a B.F.A and want to become an art professor after I get a couple of Master degrees because I need to get out of the food industry... its slowly driving me nuts. I'm sorry Animal but I think that this shit happens everywhere. I want to be able to kick someones ass without consequences but its not going to happen which frustrates me even more. HR does jack shit so theres no point in reporting how my boss is racist toward me and is a complete sexist pig because if I do go down, I will be singled out and I have seen them drive people to quit. I just get up and go to work until I can get out. If it was fun it wouldn't be call work blah blahhh.

Cheers for the lengthy welcome words, ninjette...in other matters, my savage queen has just got tickets for glastonbury next year. I hadn't registered in time, so she will be with her friends. As much as I was not planning on heading abroad next year, especially after my recent 3.5 month global jaunt, I love her more for demanding that her man comes to europe with her, and so I will go...visit friends in England, we can peek at Cornwall, hope the weather will be nice, I will show her stone hedge, then persuade her to accompany me to Norway to hope for the Northern Light, and then...to Berlin, to check out the city and see if its a place we both might like to move towards in the next year or three.In all honesty I am not at all perturbed by the lack of me by her side when she heads to the festival. Huge crowds are very rarely my scene...although I do like the idea of the burning man festival. And also the midsummer festival of sweden...more low-key, more nature.
