actually that whole thing is completely off, different breeds of dogs have different life spans, bulldogs live for about 6 years and many breeds can live more than double that, and anywhere in between lol.

Seven years for each human year would not be correct because of the rate the dog matures in the first two to three years. It matures much quicker during this period of it's life so it counts for more human years. After that time period a dog matures at a much slower steadier rate, I found it on some nerdy dog breeder site but as it was on the net I wouldnt take it as gospel.
