That post is written by something so confused, it doesn't know whether to scratch its watch or wind its ass. How about putting that into proper syntax, form, and grammar so that I can at least understand what you are saying before I dismiss it?weedsmoker wrote:socrates was fuckin' gay and that's all he was.
You would be out of your depth in a parking lot puddle. You couldn't get a clue during clue mating season in a field of clues if you smeared your body in musk and did the clue mating dance. Well, you're certainly thoughtless; I just wish that you were keyboard-less, too. As Robert Wilensky said: "We've all heard that a million monkeys banging on a million typewriters will eventually reproduce the entire works of Shakespeare. Now, thanks to the Internet, we know this is not true."
If that post was intended as a joke, you forgot to include the punch line. If I had wanted to talk to somebody with your personality, I would be at the damn pet store talking to the lizards. Maybe you wouldn't read like such a pathetic loser if you didn't eat all those paint chips and lead pencils when you were a kid; if your weren't so fat that your cereal bowl has its own lifeguard, or if you didn't have a face so ugly that your Psychiatrist makes you lie face down. No, come to think of it, you would.
Now, if you care to apologize for wasting my shamefully wasted time, I'll consider accepting it.

Anyways back to topic, mowhahaStonerChick420 wrote:I duno who said this quote but its driving me crazy and I have no idea what it means
" The unexamined life is not worth living"
I was just thinking about that quote, and I reckon my interpretation of what it means is pretty close. What you think...
The unexamined life is not worth living
I think what socretes is getting at is self reflection and self exploration. To analyse your own thoughts and actions to find out what type of person you are. And if you don't like what you see, change it. If you do like what you see, feed of it and grow in confidence. And so your ego will grow slightly, but so will your self worth.
What life is worth living, if you do not value yourself.
damn, i love marijuana.

Thank you for restoring the sanity of the post.
a point well made.
and as philosophy makes so much more sense when you are stoned and make associations that you would not otherwise make, I don't understand why so many of you are dissing a subject that is so close to many stoners hearts.
i expected better from some of you.....

This is for all of you who think Socrates is gay...
If you don't understand Socrates and say he's gay (or anything else that's insulting in your world) then all I can say to you is that you are very stupid and to trust me on that, because if I started explaining you why you're stupid you probably wouldn't understand it.
If you understand Socrates and say he was stupid, wrong or in any way degrading his philosophical value, you have to understand that he wasn't born in the 20th century, the time when we know a lot more then when Socrates was alive (a lot of history has been documented since which is very important for philosophy, things like theory of relativity etc.). His thoughts are based on the facts he knew, and even when you consider that you can argue wheter he was right or wrong. I personally think he was right (I'm talking about ethics right now), but that's another story. The point is, he was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay ahead of his time and that has great value.
