Best point n click adventure games for PC

I have a sudden desire to play some games on my PC...something along the Monkey island type of routine...any suggestions???

Sam and Max Hit the Road is a classic. There's actually a new series out now about Sam and Max that's pretty good.

It's released in episodes that take about an hourish to complete each. I've played up through episode 203 (9 out of like 15 episodes so far) and love it.

i remember once playing sam and max hit the road...not sure if that was the beginning of a different series or what you are referring to, ikku...but will certainly grab some more of the dynamic duo. I tried the curse of monkey island yesterday, but the 32 bit platform it was made for doesn't seem to mix perfectly with 64bit windows 7///there is likely a way of smoothing out the creases, but in the meantime i grabbed the escape from monkey island and wormds 3d.

those are all fantastic point and click adventures a la Monkey Island

cheers for the tips, mate...Even the cure of monkey island wouldnt work on my windows 7 64 bit set-up...annoying...though there is likely a way to play, even if it means grabbing am animag emulator...which if i do, then i must surely get sensible soccer, speedball 2 as well as monkey...all the old favourite.

they have loads of old computer games optimized (if that's the right word) for new OS', and they're usually pretty cheap.

I'm going to resurrect this desire and start with tales of monkey island. I used to play the series on my ancient amiga or was it the spectrum I had 128k with a disk drive???
