Inception

So I finally watched Inception last night, very nicely written narrative, the characters were cast very well as well, I was happy to see some known faces (the girl from Juno and the kid from some tv show I forgot) Dicaprio once again performs excellently, I feel like he's had a dip the past years but his last movies are really putting him in the spotlight again.

I don't get why people found it so hard to follow though, twenty minutes into it I already suspected that what was shown as 'reality' in the beginning was actually just another dream, which was confirmed by the top that kept on spinning at the end.



About that thing : there is another word for this isn't there? I've been looking for it since I started typing this reply but I can't seem to find it, frustrating :p

the movie wasn't hard to follow until the end where they kind of clumped everything happening together without having much time to think about it.. The movie would have been way better if they carried it out another 20-30 minutes to grasp it better, but that's just me..

I wanna watch this again, I forget a good amount of it now

Around the point where they were in that snowy area is about the time where I started getting confused. I definately want to see it again...I think it comes out on dvd in the next couple of weeks.

yea i really liked the movie.....took me a while to figure out what was goin on...but i was blazed and was just really more into the effects

I especially like the whole 'ride the kicks back' line, time gets extended each level they go down, pretty sweet.

To make it simple: He was dreaming in the first place, when the story starts he's dreaming everything that happens.

i laughed so much at the infinite staircase paradox thing when he tricks i guy to fall off and yells paradox so suddenly the view point is different and there is a gap... makes no goddamn sense to me.

Cobbs wife is a projection right in the scenes that aren't flashbacks.I get that part...what I don't get is why she appears in everyone elses dreams. At the beginning of the movie his projections in his own mind attack Ariadne because she kept messing with stuff. Well..then why does he project his wife into everyone's dreams and why does she keep trying to ruin stuff? I get that they were in limbo together..but what does that have to do with her being a crazy psycho projection?

Also the part after that Fisher guy gets shot.....I get so confused. It's like that are just making up stuff on the spot and I'm just suppose to nod my head and go "Okay, that makes sense."

she appears because its a part of the dreamers sub conscious. cobb was in the dreams, thats the whole reason why the hot chick went with them, because cobb kept projecting his memory of his wife and she was fucking shit up. she went there to help him control it.

I fell asleep about an hour into Inception. I found it difficult to follow.

Of course, I was pretty damn tired when I tried to watch it. I'll have to give it another shot when I'm wide awake.
