Through my life i have befriended many different groups of people and listened to many many genres of music. I enjoy mostly rock metal and anything with good instrumentals. I love my jimmi hendrix i enjoy bob marley i like rock like saliva 3 days grace and god i love tool with a passion. i also have a fair amount of hard dance music on my ipod too But the reason for this thread is the all amazing band DISTURBED



their first album was out when i was about 13 and my loving sister gave me this "heavy metal" cd for my birthday (believe Or thie sickness??). Since then they have released a total of about 5 albums of which i believe only one to be a true dud. Ten thousand fists just never hit that level of detail thought and compisition which make some of disturbeds songs so amazing.

When i heard their new album was coming out i pre ordered it and got it in the mail before it was in the stores. Upon first listen when i put it into the computer to pirate it it didnt bite. It took me a while to get into it, really got its glory when i played the CD in my car, i have a fairbit of soundstream audio gear. Since that day i have played the cd on repeat for like weeks now and i cant tire of it, every time it goes back to the start i enjoy it just as much. ( there are 2 live songs at the end of the cd which dont really cut the cake but live they never do)

I like disturbed, they're songs are pretty sweet.. but the only thing that kinda gets me to not like them. I've heard from PLENTY of people who saw them that they SUCK live on stage.. I've heard people even wonder how they're CD's even sound that good after seeing them perform..

LOL^ thats actually a pretty good sum up. The first disturbed song i heard was Down with the Sickness, and i heard it as the background music to some clip from stickdeath. i dunno if that site is still up but basically its clips of stickmen killing each other, anyway that was years ago and i spent years trying to find out what that song was. The noise in it ( the oh whaohahaha thing, or however that goes, to be honest i have no idea how im supposed to spell that ) just fascinated me. That and Intoxication are up there on my top played in i-tunes.
