Phish

Saw two shows in 09 and raged at both (Camden and Wachovia 2). I've been an avid phanner since 06/07 and love listening to older shows. 97 Phall tour is my favorite era, but I also enjoy this most recent 09. Summer shows are gonna be nuts.

i have heard a lot about phish but neglected to really listen to much... if you were going to recommend an album, live or other... what would it be?

A Live One or Billy Breathes

The first one is a fan favorite for the live albums (30 minute Tweezer!) and Billy Breathes was the first Phish that I have ever heard.

this and grateful dead are like...the hippiest bands ever.

Love both of em. The Dead and Phish are very different though. The Dead somewhat threw together a bunch of abstract ideas and created incredible jams out of it, but Phish got down and phunky.
