no we don't
we just keep fucking up on our airstrikes and that's when civilians die
other than that the deaths are unfortunately those caught in the crossfire (not very likely!) and the ones that pick up guns and become a threat.

When the going gets weird, the werid turn pro.

Yes, and you've been there, and no you never get filtered thus biased views of the battlefield.
We have this documentary show here, we had a series about Iraq (done by a Belgian reporter, so not choosing the US side) and you'd be amazed how many civilians do get killed, even in situations where they normally wouldn't have been...

Computer games don't affect kids. I mean, if Pac-Man had affected us as kids, we would all be running around darkened rooms, munching magic pills, and listening to repetitive electronic music.

What, examples?
A family's house gets searched.
There's five nervous troopers inside, they round up all of the family members (or so they thought) and get them outside to do a search inside the house.
A few minutes later you hear one of 'em yell 'GOT ONE' and he opens fire while he's still saying it.
Then the camera comes in, you see the dust settle and a 9 year old kid in a pool of blood, no guns anyhwere.
Turns out the kid got scared when the soldiers kicked in the front door (it was 2 am, they were all asleep and didn't immediately wake up to them knocking on the door and shouting to come out) and hid in a closet in the children's room...
the soldier claimed he thought it was 'an insurgent'.
As if a nine year old is as tall as a grown male...
But yeah, that's collateral.
Right?

No, but it happens all the time.
So don't just ignore the fact that civilians get killed in the majority of 'conflicts'.
other than that there are soldiers that are traumatized by seeing their fellow comrades get killed in combat and go mental and just get very triggerhappy...

of course civilians get killed in u.s. conflicts but the majority is not from what you are talking about.
I mostly tried argued the fact that you said in every raid and patrol a civilian probably gets killed.

That was exaggerated indeed, but it happens way too much none the less.

Re: Who'se the terrorist?
Its a dumb question. Because of the rhetoric nature of the query.Dank wrote:Do you think that the US could be to blame for some of the "terrorist" attacks on civilians in Iraq?
Under Saddam, the iraquis, and the region as a whole, were better off, as in LESS NEEDLESS SLAUGHTER OF INNOCENTS...Me, as a brit, and especially ALL americans, whi pay taxes, have been paying for Murder To Continue Our Way of Life, for years now, yet we choose to turn the other cheek...its fucking pathetic. Yet I am pathetic also. COnvincing myself that through my writing I am spreading Truth, in the hope that some of those that read it, will decide to become more proactive.
in answer to the original question...YES, fucking YES. Without any doubt whatsoever, the american/british invasions of Afganistan and Iraq have definitely, in my opinion, resulted in a massive increase in KILLING.
