Did you know Bush gave himself a new important job

Bush Anoints Himself as the Insurer of Constitutional Government in Emergency

Basically this allows him (or any president at that current time) to stay in office even if his time is up, and make rules for the country to live by in order to get through the catastrophe.

*Personal POV on This*
There are already contingent plans in place in case of emergencies, this is totally unnecessary and, if it isn't, certainly looks like a grab for total power. Betcha there'll be a 'catastrophe', oh say, right before '08 elections, or before the year is out.

well considering we're getting horrible floods and hurricanes...***cough*** global warming***cough***....we have a president in office that did not even win the popular vote the first time, his own party is losing confidence in him, and we are in an "oil war" which is giving us the global warming to begin with....and to top it all off, he is a descendant on his mom's side of Franklin Pierce....one of the biggest fuck up presidents that hasten the beginning of the civil war, was a drunk; and when he wasn't re-elected, got drunk and ran a woman over with his horse. America is supposed to be diverse---hell for over 200 years the presidents have all been white males. (personally I'm from NY and like Hillary)...plus my Senator is Schumer and is one of the biggest pro-pot members of congress out there....I defiantly see high and better times ahead.

P.S.- I wasn't going to get in this that detailed but i'm stoned and that subject just lit a fire in me so I am also going to post with as a stand-alone topic in the forum.

every gouverments have theyre bad sides

i say we should use real democracy instead, that means install some voting stations acrossthe citys and hire ppl that would manage all the votes and shit. let the citizens decide if theyre against or okay with the decisions that needs to be done. im pretty baked right now so i dont know if u guys understand me so ill give y'all an exemple

subject : katrina
everyone that would want to vote would just go to theyre local voting station and decide weither katrina needs more tax money.

subject : Irak
ppl would vote if theyre against it or for it...

u know what im saying ? that be the shit, instead of having corrupted gouverments across the world.

that is a good idea, not necessarily for a direct vote, but instead as an indicator for our elected members of congress as to what their constituents want...I'm sure members of congress would go for it because it would keep their voters happy and them in office.
