Inducing flowering while growing outside?

Post by Kjm520 »

I tried to read about it and i dont really understand.. if i was to induce a small 12 inch plant to flower or something i would have to make the plant think its winter or fall by changing the hours of how much light it gets? Am i correct? if so how would someone do this?

12/12 cycle. It's way easier if you have a timer with the lights plugged into it. 12/12 is basically 12 hours of light, 12 hours of darkness.

You can induce flowering outside, tho its a major, major pain in the butt. You have to dilligently cover and uncover your plants every 12 hours. The plants must receive 12 hours of darkness, and 12 hours of light for flowering to occur. And the hours must be consistent.
