This is why hundreds of koalas fall out of the tres every year and they always look more than a touch dazed and sleepy...I am not sure, but my mind keeps telling me their diet revolves around eucalyptus leaves, which is high in toxicity, though it could well be another substance which causes the haze...Wicked animals.
Yeh animal I'm pretty positive it is all the eucalyptus leaves they eat.. I think that's all they eat?
It's funny at the zoo how tourists think they are really friendly and try to play with them then they start the growling shit which sounds alot like a dying cat or something but holy shit they can be ferocious.
Not as bad as wombats though, when I was a kid I thought it would be a good idea to stick my finger through the wire and let one BITE ME! OMFG that was complete agony..
anyway yeh koalas FTW though I hear eucalyptus leaves are 'gateway' leaves, so it won't be long till they start cultivating their own feilds of coca.
