This sucks..

Post by No0n3 »

Well, last thursday I went home from my 'dorm-room' in the Netherlands to my parents' house, and as I sat in the train, my stuff got stolen. It was in the rack above me, but it still got stolen. I guess someone behind me just pulled it towards him/her, and then walked away with it. Inside were my laptop + accesories, my glasses, books, and some medical insurance papers. I think total value about 2000 euros (new price). It really pissed me off, had to go to the police, file a report, and then ofcourse explain it to my parents (who paid for it).
I don't know howmany of you had something valuable stolen, but lemme tell you it really sucks. It's really weird looking up, and not seeing something you put there. At first you start to wonder if you put it somewhere else, but then you realise you didn't and it got stolen. I was ready to punch the first person who talked to me at that point. Ran across the train, but ofcourse the person who stole it already left. Then called my parents, got a lecture from my father, and before I even got to the police he already asked if I got any results from exams (results in school/uni is all he cares about, and he asks me everytime I speak to him).
Luckily, my parents paid a part of my new laptop, but still, it sucks. I lost somuch stuff on there, and have to do somuch extra work now. After buying it, my dad wanted to go to my room, to set it up.
I haven't properly cleaned my room for about 2 weeks, so it's a complete mess, and to make matters worse, there was weed-related stuff lying around. One of my roommates helped me out by introducing himself to my parents, which gave me about a minute to hide all my stuff. Fortunatly they didn't really find out (although I think my mother now has an idea, but I'm hoping she just thinks I smoke cigarettes). I was actually removing skins and tips as my dad was installing the new computer, which were on thesame desk. I guess all the mess covered up some of the weed stuff.
Now I also have to buy new books, and new glasses, which will probably set me back about 200-300 euros, which means I won't be smoking weed for a while. I'm lucky that my dad didn't ask for me to pay for the laptop at the store, because I don't think I have enough money to pay for it, as I spent a lot of weed the last couple of months, and I recently bought a PS2 (which would probably also be frowned upon). I'd then have to explain where all that money went (I don't go out often, so there isn't really another place where I could have logically spent the money). I think I'll need to quit weed for about a month, maybe 2-3.
I just also found out I failed an exam which I thought I aced. Had to tell my parents that, but I'm happy that my dad said he was glad that I atleast told him, and then he wished me goodluck. Normally, it's just a speech about how I suck (if you hadn't noticed by now, me and my dad don't get along very well). So I guess that was the only highlight this weekend. That and 'getting' a new laptop (which is pretty awesome, except that it hasn't got a volume switch thing.. wtf?).
Now I have to finish an assignment for tomorrow, which I really can't be bothered with.
Anyway, thanks for reading, I just needed a place to vent.
