My Molino bong has arrived.....

OK, so today a little past noon the big white box arrived at my house. Its only been 3 weeks since I ordered it, but man those were three looong weeks. Specially since I stopped smoking for the duration of my wait. You see, if I continued smoking I would have ended up dry by this time. So, with the damn bong finally here, I wiped it clean, filled it with water, ice, fitted the mesh pipe screen, pulled out my dwindling stash, packed a bowl and blazed away with my bro. WOW....it just hit so freaking smoooooth. You can't even feel the smoke going down. Now I know why people use bongs Also, these were killer hits we were taking, and it didn't even feel harsh. There's no way you can get the same tokin power from a joint.

After 3 bowls we were out of weed. It didn't matter, we were so high man, I've never been that high before! It started out with a really high mind-racing sativa effect, then towards the second half it was a real smooth, relaxing stony feeling (indica-like I guess) which felt great. best of both worlds me thinks. I hope I can score more of this weed, problem is that the person that gave me the weed didn't remember what kind it was.

Listening to a specially prepared playlist (for the occasion) we just layed there tripping on iTunes visual effects. When your that high good music sounds too good to be true. UB40, Bob Marley, Ben Harper, Sublime, you name it they all just blew my mind away. One hell of a trip, on so many levels.... We finally named the bong "Square Fader". don't know what we were thinking but it made a lot of sense while we were high

Now a breif product review: I ordered my bong from grasscity.com, I chose the Medium Molino bong with precooler hurricane. My first impression was that the actual bong is a lot bigger than what it seems in the picture.
Over all quality is great. Thick pyrex main tube, colorfull precooler. It has a carb hole on the back which can be tricky if you're not used to one (bong water can spill out), but I easily fashioned a plug from an old cork which solved the problem. It also has ice pinches.

The only complaint that I have is that if you choose to fill this particular model precooler with water it tends to go up into the weed. Maybe other Molino precooler models which are deeper are more functional. I had to leave mine with only a few drops of water inside so it would't climb up and ruin the weed. For the price I paid (it was $63.50 USD + shipping$11.50) I beleive it has great value compared to other brand name glass bongs which tend to be much more expensive. In conclusion I must say it is very nice, it was definitely worth buying, and waiting for too. I think the prices went up now, not sure.

That looks a hell of a lot nicer than mine and I paid 85USD. Would have been 80 but the girl who said she'd discount me wasn't there and her coworker wouldn't believe me. Mine's orange, a bit over a foot high, and hand blown glass. It has an icecatch like yours, but the slide is vastly inferior. Great find man, and happy toking. Bongs rule.

Hehe, I'm taking a break now, gonna order a bong during my break period, and then get baked. Getting high requires a lot of planning.
Not sure whether to go for the expensive bongs (aka RooR), or a cheaper one. Guess it depends on my break.. the longer I take a break, the more money I save, and the more I can spend on a bong.

I just found a nice bong, possibly replacing the RooR, only a lot cheaper.

Nice thick glass, not too tall (I prefer smaller bongs, not the 10 feet kinda bongs),a diffuser (smoke will dissolve in many smaller bubbles, cleaning it better, or so it says ), and some ice notches. Looks like a nice & clean smoke.

EDIT: Dank, just noticed that your bong is pretty thick (4.2mm). Does a bong that thick feel a bit sturdy? I'd love to get one as thick as those, but they tend to get expensive.

The posibility of glass braking is always a concern. Yes, the main tube on my bong actually feels quite sturdy. The precooler is OK too. The weakest part is the downstem tube (+/-1mm thick in its thinest part).

Still, the bong is made of glass, and no matter how thick it is, if you drop it from a certain height I beleive it will break. I solved that fear by by just sitting on the floor on a nice comfy pillow and using the bong without lifting it up. If it gets tipped over i doubt it will be damaged.

That bushmaster bong looks pretty nice and that price seems reasonable. The weedstar looks good too and 3.5mm is ok as far as thickness goes. I also like the tilt in the main tube, it looks comfortable. If I had seen that one before I might have bought it instead. Good price. Just keep in mind that a 35cm bong is much larger than it apears in the picture.

Thanks for the help. It's just so hard choosing a bong. I think I'll go with weedstar, looks like a decent bong. Although I would love that bushmaster one.. just pop it in the fridge, and you've got yourself a cool smoke
I think that 35 cm is a good size bong, about the size of a 1.5l bottle.
And I guess that 3.5mm is a good thickness. It's just annoying that I don't have any idea of how thick 3.5mm is (yes I can take a ruler, but that just isn't thesame ). I'll take your word for it. RooR produces bongs as thin as 2mm, so I guess almost double of that should be safe.

Smoking in bong is insane, since it's soooo good, the high is way softer than smoking it, you feel better, and i tend to dont have any headaches, when i use my bongs.

haha yeah man my friend borrowed this kids plastic bong and managed to break it, haha how do you break a plastic bong? so yeah be careful when getting extremely high as people tend to nock things over when high, or at least in my experience that is

heh heh. I just have a homemade bong. It is made from a frappachino bottle and the plastic tubes out of one of those masks that you squeeze and the blood runs down the face. I poked two holes in the lid with a nail and cut 2 sections of tube. I put one tube to the bottom and a bowl on the other end and the other tube I put down in just a little. It is pretty nice. I can't wait to turn 18 in december so I can buy a real bong.
