After browsing through several topics, threads, etc. I came to realize that WeedGuru has really intelligent members.Stoners through time have been considered feeble minded,i consider myself a rational and fairly smart person, is conforting to see people like us who love the plant, bring a good rep to it, smashing the urban myth of weed destroying ur mind, lets keep smoking and hopefully people will realize this one day, thank you

Of all the people I know, many of the most intelligent are stoners.
I don't know why that is. Possibly it's because smarter people are generally more curious and open minded which explains why they're smart in the first place. They do more independant learning into topics that interest them. It also explains why they'd have tried weed in the first place: out of curiosity and a willingness to try and learn new things.
Less intelligent people are usually more ignorant and closed-minded, so they'll be less willing to try weed.
That's one possible explanation. I do know it isn't the weed that makes us smart, seeing as in general we were all intelligent before taking our first toke. But I think it's clear now that weed does not make people stupid.

man u stole the words right out of my mouth. Thats how i feel about stoners and smart people. I hav always wounder weather weed auctally effects ur intelligentence people hav always said that weed is bad, weed makes u dumb, weed makes u into a crim, but i believe people just associated these actions with weed because 1. most people do not smoke weed so dont know how it effects you. 2. Traditionally people who commit crimes do drugs as well, but it doesnt work both ways. People who do drugs are not nesecarily crimials.
Do not take what i say seriously.

All my friends are stoners, all my friends are smart.

I'd consider myself a pretty smart guy, in general, there's shit like math I know crap about :)
Computer games don't affect kids. I mean, if Pac-Man had affected us as kids, we would all be running around darkened rooms, munching magic pills, and listening to repetitive electronic music.

I dont think knowing math or not has anything to do with intelligence. It's just so damn pointless.

everything can be translated in numbers

He's got a point.

Math is the universal languge. Everything can be translated to math on a molecular level. But just because it's the language of physics doesn't mean you have to know it.

Today i talked with a teacher of mine about this, how weed doesn`t mess ur brain up,legalisation, etc. And i noticed that a good half hour of speaking with her, telling her all the good things about, she coukd found one well founded response, when i brought a similar case that was happening in the US, around the 1920`s(correct me if the date is wrong). They were trying to smuggle in drugs, also known as,yeah u guessed it,alcohol, alcohol in that time was simply the weed of our time, and she quickly started changing her mind about it,she always had this idea of stoners lacking in motivation, intelligence,or whatever when i started also mentioning public figures that smoked it and managed a great deal of succes. At the end i`m glad i could change another mind`s perspective on weed and intellegence of people who smoke it.

everyone has their own idea on what "intelligence" is. for me, it has little to do with "book smarts, and more to do with what i call life smarts. which involves many levels and kinds of "intelligence". it has more to do with morals and shit.

i also think that smoking weed gives you a better perspective of the world and people and shit.
