can you smoke weed leaves

so my buddy had this plant and it was almost mature and then someone came and told us we had to get rid of it. so we took it down before it was budding [tears] but we have like a trashbag full of leaves. and i was wondering if you could smoke those.

The buds are the things that are mainly smoked. You CAN smoke the leaves, but they have much lower THC content than the buds do, so don't expect yourself to get super high off leaves - you'd need more leaves to get the same high one would from a bud.

Yah...a shitload more..when I was young I bought a quarter of leaves like a fucking retard, smoked half of it, and didn't have much more than a headache.

imo best thing to do with leaves is cut them up real fine and simmer/stir them in a pot of butter for a decent while then strain it. then use the butter to make some mean birthday cake. or maybe on toast?
