Hey, I have to get some teeth pulled eventually and I wanted to know if the dentist can tell if i've smoked weed just by looking at my teeth. Also, can you use a regular tobacco pipe to smoke other stuff?

Who cares if he knows? It's not like he'll ban you forever from the office. He may be able to tell you smoke, but not weed specifically i'm guessing.

Well nicotine makes your teeth brown so if you smoke ALOT, everyday (and i mean normal fags, not weed) then yea, your teeth will go brown/yellowish and he might ask you if you smoke or not

My teeth are still white & shiny and ive been smoking since i was around 16

i think he cares becuase he doesnt want his dentist to tell his parents... n ive herd this one before but im not sure if its ture, in my opinion its not, but whut do i know

Ive never a dentist could tell you were using weed. I can remember being told when i was younger that a dentist could tell if you had been taking E as people grind their teeth. I never grind my teeth when taking E so thats a load of shit too.

It doesnt matter if he knows you smoke or not. And really the only way he would find out is if you had some stuck between your teeth.

Under the hippocratic oath a doctor cannot release any information to anyone without your consent.

Go get some mouthwash and swish it around a while before you go in if you are still worried.

OK well I had a check-up today and nothing at all was said, and I'm an everday this is all a lie.

Im thinking if you use tobacco he *may* notice but wouldnt say anything, cause hell lots of people smoke. UNelss your underage of course. But if you dont use tobacco im thinking you'll be aight.

even if your teeth were stained it could have been anything its not like he can tell what stained them.

Unless you have 'fuzzy tongue' going on...then it really narrows it down, but that's most commonly related to drinking Bong Water. (*snicker*) or smoking.

ye thats pretty annoying, but you all gave the kid the wrong idea. A dentist could easily know you smoke ganja, mine did. He said he could tell by tar build up, nicotine doesnt make as tar as skunk/hash and is a lighter colour... apparently.

Does tar build up no matter what? Or does good oral hygene get rid of most, if not all, of it?
